It seems strange to me that each time I need to add another table to my model, I have to re-enter all the connection (or pick a recent connection). If i have 10 tables in my model, they all have their own individual connection information. If a server name ever gets renamed, it'll be a crazy headache for us. There should be a place where you define the distinct list of actual database connections (one per server or database), give it a name, apply security, etc. And then when you go to add a table to a data model, at that point you pick from the previously defined available list of connections. ... Our clients use the indicator for that event type and set it to alert when it gets above 0, as stores aren’t supposed to modify their online ordering hours without owner consent. The problem is that the owner has several stores. They receive an alert when the first store changes their online ordering hours (# of events > 0), but not when a second store does it. The alert is sent at 1 but not 2. The workaround for now is to configure multiple Pulse Alerts, one per store, but that’s only feasible when there aren’t many stores. We have a franchise with over 300 stores! Also, if a store then changes their online hours back, the owner isn’t informed of that either. Can you please add a feature request for an option on the Pulse Alerts to notify on any increase to the value once it’s exceeded the threshold, so the user would receive an alert at 1 and additional alerts at 2, 3, etc.? This would have to be optional and off by default, as you wouldn’t want that to be activated for something that tracked a value that increases often, but the core use case here is for exceptional activity tracking, so the values should rarely increase. ... 1. View all history of builds and its corresponding logs from the cubes. Because, I could not see the last build failure reason, if another build got started. I need to wait for another build to complete or fail. 2. View all history of changes and provide a way to revert as in Google docs for both the cubes and dashboards. Some times, if something went wrong, we should just be able to revert to the previous version and continue from there. 3. Provide a way to view the list of cubes in the queue waiting for the build. Also, allow remove or disable them for a period or rearrange the queue to build. This will help in prioritizing something manual on demand. 4. If a cube build fails due to the memory or other configurations issue, provide suggestions like what has to be changed and based on what before triggering another build. 5. Provide a page to derive the suggested the configurations like memory, cpu, timeouts etc by collecting details like 1. Number of cubes, 2. average cube size, max cube size, min cube size, or number of cubes by size range say <5g, <10G, <20G, <40G etc.., 3. Frequency of the build per cube etc.. 6. Provide a page to view all the slow running dashboards, slow running queries and some suggestions to improve it. 7. Some times, if a dashboard got changed and republished, it is not getting applied to all the users. Provide a way to view the version of the dashboard the user may view. 8. Between builds, if there is not much change in the data, Sisense build should go faster. Provide a way like one common place to build each table from other sources individually and keep it ready. From there, if we build say functional cubes, it should build in flashing fast using the locally stored data. I see the cubes are pulling the data faster from relational db but very slow from mongodb. Now, if we are pulling data from another sisense cube or from the source no big performance difference. 9. Also, I am not sure, if we are restarting the nodes, should we necessarily mark the cubes in queue as failed, instead adding back to the queue as it was before the restart and just marking the actual cube got failed should be good enough. In browsers, usually links can be right-clicked. You get a menu including "Open in new tab" and "Copy link". Some Sisense links block this behaviour: e.g. the list of dashboards and jump-to-dashboard links. It'd be nice to get it back. To be clear: I do not want every link to open in a new tab. The email schedules have a limitation when the file used in attachment is large in size. Most email servers have a 25mb max limit.  It would be really helpful, if there was an option to include a downloadable link in the email. When a user schedules an email, with the link option, the attachment is downloaded to a temporary path and the link to that path is provided in the email. Clicking on the link should download the file from the temporary path which can be an s3 bucket or from some server. We can keep a retention policy of few days for the files. ... View more

Hi, Whenever an user with owner access is deleted, all the dasboard created by him are getting deleted. Also, those dashboards shared with others are also deleted. This looks like a critical issue, since the dashboard will be shared among other users, they won't be able to see any dashboard if the user gets deleted. Allow widget designers to turn off the display of the Grand Totals calculation for certain columns in a pivot table. Situations exist for which it is highly beneficial to display the Grand Total of a select few columns in a pivot table, and not to show others as they can be misleading or distract from the primary purpose of the pivot table. Hi, For security reasons, one of the requirements we have seen in our customers are reltaed to the ablity to have more customized Admin roles. Some customers have different departments, that are responsible to manage the administration of some features independently. It's not fixed just with the Data Admin and the Admin. For example, some area needs to manage the Users and groups, but other area needs to manage the look&feel and white labeling, feature management... Now, an admin is a root user. When adding a measure to a widget, an aggregation method is automatically applied. The Dashboard Designer can choose the aggregation method via a menu, but a regular click will always choose a predetermined system-wide defauilt (distinct count or sum). In some cases, the aggregation applied is not relevant and could lead to invalid results. I would like to see a feature that allows a Data Designer, when designing the data model, to define the default aggregation for a column. A Data Designer has the knowledge of the data model and what aggregation is best used for it. This ability would assist Dashboard Designers in correctly using the model. ... View more

It's not possible to create a dashboard filter using formulas. I could create a dashboard filter only with variables that are present in a data source. I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. When opening a support ticket, it's required that a large form be completed. Among these is the Sisense Account Type, Environment, and Version. We too frequently open a support ticket only to be provided with a response unrelated to the information provided in these fields (e.g. a Linux based recommendation after specifying the issue is occurring in a Windows environment and being asked for a version number after the information was already provided). Given the global distribution of Sisense support resources, it can already take a day before expecting a response, but for that response to then be unaware of the information provided in the ticket details causes delays, extra rounds of communication (especially when our support rep doesn't realize that the Sisense response is for the wrong version), and frustrates our support teams and the clients they in turn support. And we imagine the Sisense support reps don't love finding they sent irrelevant advice and don't like seeing our support reps' confusion when they aren't already aware of the information provided in the case opening form. We appreciate Sisense support reps and want to see them support us with as little friction as possible.
