We are a multi-tenant software provider and we embed and white label Sisense.  In our setup, we have 2 models.  Model 1 is used by Engineering to create our pre-built dashboards, where we share these with specific groups we've set up so that all of our customers see our pre-built "out of the box" dashboards The second model is what we expose to our Premium users so that they can create their own custom dashboards.   There are times when our customers will create a new, custom dashboard with the second model.  These users sometimes share their dashboard very broadly.  When this happens, there are certain users that wish to remove themselves from the share.  Perhaps they don't have row-level security to see anything.  Perhaps they have changed roles or simply do not use that dashboard. Note that we do not want to allow customers to remove themselves from our pre-built shared dashboards, as this could cause support confusion as to why our analytics solution is enabled but a user doesn't see "all of the dashboards".   With the above noted, we would like a configurable means to show/hide a "leave shared dashboard" dashboard option, based on the model with which a dashboard is associated.  This will ensure that users cannot remove themselves from our pre-built dashboards (we would hide on our model) yet allow them to remove themselves from custom dashboards that were shared with them (we would show on model 2 for self-authoring) When a user leaves a shared dashboard, there should also be configuration options to alert the owner of the dashboard via email.  This email should be capable of white labeling.  It should include dashboard name, who left, and when.  Should there be links to the dashboard in the email, there must be a way to disable hyperlinks in the email. ... End users (our customers’ customers) are Designers 2. Data models are shared across multiple tenants (with row level security) Without this the customer is forced to either manage hundreds of separate data models, which is not sustainable, or to remove all ability to save formulas, which is not acceptable for users. For users who wish to receive their Dashboard contents using the Subscription service, Sisense supports embedded emails or PDF format only. For convenience and expedience, I would like to see support for users to receive compatible Dashboards (e.g. Pivot Tables) directly as an Excel attachment. This idea aims to help on-premises installations or live connections to better control load. The scenario: we have a big amount of users using the Report Manager plug-in, and we cannot limit the number of reports they can create or even the minimum periodicity for their schedules. Currently any user will be able to create a big number of reports, and those reports in a worst case scenario could be sent every hour. It could case a high usage of server resources. It is possible to setup the number of concurrent reports that will be processed, but depending on the number of reports it could cause bottlenecks and big deliver delays. The idea: adding some new 'admin' settings to Report Manager plug-in: - Maximum number of reports per user: defines the maximum number of reports a unique user can create. We could use 0 for unlimited (current behavior). - Maximum number of reports per user group: defines the maximum number of reports a user group can create. Same ideia as the above, but related to user groups. It could be a unique setting for any user group, or maybe a map with specific limits for each user group. - Minimum periodicity for scheduling: currently Report Manager offers the hours, days, week and months options. For instance, if this setting is set to days, then users will not be able to select hours when creating new schedules. Current existing schedules could be kept. ... View more

It would be cool if our end users could receive a Digest Email that is sent out on a frequent basis from Sisense. This email would be most relevant if it was based on the groups a user is assigned to already. This would ensure relevant communication, as well as ensure there is control over the reports included in the digest that the user would already have access to them. We would not want the digest email to included recommended reports the user doesn't already have access to. If it was a feature the Admin could turn on/off at the group level that would be our preference. The feature would allow the Admin to select how often the digest went out (weekly, monthly, etc). The feature would allow the Admin to select what content was included: For example:  Changes, Top Used/Popular in the Users Groups (i.e. Org), and then for us I think Newly Published Reports would be ideal.  This would allow an organization to choose whether every time a new dashboard is released the user is notified, for us we would prefer a section in the digest that has these 3 dashboards were released to your group(s).  Other BI tools do already offer this-- Attached is an example of the Power BI digest, as reference. The behaviour of the From/To date component appears to be causing a lot of confusion new users - we have had multiple reports mis-selecting dates and/or thinking this is a problem with Sisense.   The problem appears to stem from the way the focus is automatically shifted to speed up input of the 'To' date. This is not expected by new users and causes confusion. When a date is selected in the 'From' box... If no date set in the 'To' box, move focus to 'To' box and allow the user to immediately select the 'To' Date If date already set in 'To' box, do nothing. So, the first time you set the date range the first click sets the 'From' date, and you can immediately set a 'To' date with a second click. This is handy, but at the same time confusing if you don't realise what it's doing, and in practice is causing complaints. ... View more

We have had several users complain that the way series selection for charts is not intuitive. Currently, when you have multiple series in a line chart and click on one in the legend, it gets disabled to highlight the others. The intent is to allow focus, but it's the wrong way around - most users expect that the item clicked should be selected and the others hidden. The current behaviour is quite painful if you want to see one series when there are several (you have to click on all the others). Is there a simple way to reverse the selection behaviour, or do we need to look at other options: wrap the control and handle it ourselves (possible?) build some drop-downs/UI to allow selection of whats shown some other neat UI work-around?? ... Our clients use the indicator for that event type and set it to alert when it gets above 0, as stores aren’t supposed to modify their online ordering hours without owner consent. The problem is that the owner has several stores. They receive an alert when the first store changes their online ordering hours (# of events > 0), but not when a second store does it. The alert is sent at 1 but not 2. The workaround for now is to configure multiple Pulse Alerts, one per store, but that’s only feasible when there aren’t many stores. We have a franchise with over 300 stores! Also, if a store then changes their online hours back, the owner isn’t informed of that either. Can you please add a feature request for an option on the Pulse Alerts to notify on any increase to the value once it’s exceeded the threshold, so the user would receive an alert at 1 and additional alerts at 2, 3, etc.? This would have to be optional and off by default, as you wouldn’t want that to be activated for something that tracked a value that increases often, but the core use case here is for exceptional activity tracking, so the values should rarely increase. ... We use jump to dashboard to allow users to view a data table to give them context to the chart they are looking at. For large data sets, this can lead to millions of records. The issue comes up when users try to then export this table. It would be nice if there was a way to set a hard limit to the number of records returned in a table/table with aggregation. When users try to download too large of a table, it impacts server performance for everyone, and the only way to really limit the tables right now and still allow them to be filterable on all required fields is not efficient (rank filter on a semi-unique identifier using the max of a unique identifier). I am looking to place simple guard rails into how much data can be exported into one file, I am flexible as to where this option presents itself and how - either a count of max records or a file size works. Having an option to set the max number of records returned in this widget type also would work. I would be fine with this as an option buried in the configuration settings page or within the admin page itself. I just want the option present somewhere. ... View more

Current behavior of the Simply Ask feature doesn't support automatic saving of the modified NLQ model to the "*.dash" file. So you loose your development work after exporting the dashboard with already enabled and tuned "Simply Ask" to a "*.dash" file. After importing this dashboard back to Sisense the feature is automatically disabled. Also if a developer will enable it manually it starts running based on the "By Default" NLQ model. This forces to redo all the work on the model back again which is time consuming and not efficient. We expect Sisense to consider in the future the development work on making this more convenient for a BI engineer. If a "Simply Ask" feature will be automatically enabled on an imported dashboard with a corrected model, it would be beneficial for dashboard deploy automation and will reduce unneeded additional manual work on setting up this feature again and again for different working environments for the same dashboard. ... We currently have SSO enabled for our product development but we also have internal users who need to reset their password once in a while for personal or security reasons.  But the current behaviour is "if you have SSO enabled, users won't receive an email when they click forget password and only admins can reset their password instead". This is very troublesome and if you have a large organisations with hundreds of internal users, it is very difficult for the admins to manage that expectation.  Would really like to get some help from the dev team and allow "forget password" even when SSO is enabled!  ... Because a non-trivial amount of the population is colorblind, it's a best practice to never rely solely on color when indicating behavior or status of a UI element. The filter-pane buttons are by default, I think, green for positive selection, red for exclusion, and grey for unselected. It would be better if there was also a small icon in the button that would indicate checkmark if positive, "X" if negative, and blank if unselected.
