Sisense does not currently offer the ability to easily freeze the top row of a pivot table, similar to what most spreadsheet applications offer. Prior community questions on this topic (such as https://community.sisense.com/t5/build-analytics/freezing-the-header-row-for-a-pivot-table/td-p/3022) advise a workaround by manually disabling the Auto Height feature for the pivot table widget, then reducing the height of the pivot table until a widget-level scroll bar appears.  This solution only works for a very specific use case, and losing the ability for the widget to dynamically resize when populated with different sizes of datasets and/or when applying dashboard-level filters makes it less tenable. For example, if a widget is manually resized so that the header is visible when scrolling for 50+ rows of data, the widget will stay the same height if a filter is applied that reduces the dataset to 15 rows. We'd like to see if there is a way to easily freeze the header row of a pivot table while preserving the ability for the widget to automatically resize based on the amount of data. When changing the Elasticube associated with a dashboard, any Pulse alerts built off widgets from that dashboard will not be changed and will continue to be affected by the old Elasticube. This is an issue if you are replacing one Elasticube with another. There is no warning / message when changing a dashboard's Elasticube that pulses will be affected. There is no way to see the Elasticube a pulse is attached to - only the dashboard (but again, changing the dashboard's Elasticube doesn't change the pulses). There is no way to see which pulses are built on top of an Elasticube from the Elasticube screen (unlike with dashboards). I would like the ability when changing the Elasticube for a Dashboard that has Pulse alerts associated to it, give the prompt option to update to the new Elasticube for Pulses as well. This could either be done: Via some new UI Via some warning (similar to when you try and delete a cube with active dashboards / pulses) - but this would then also need the secondary ability to manually change the Elasticube associated with Pulses. ... I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. For some reason when editing a Pivot for example you can get 3 options for sorting on the "rows" - DESC, ASC, and No Sort  However when using the sort in the Pivot table itself - there is only DESC and ASC order. Could you please add the "No Sort" option to the widget too? ... View more

We have a large number of dashboards and at the moment, find the navigation process for our stakeholders is not ideal as they can only "find" a dashboard if they know what words are used in the title. For example, if a stakeholder searches for complaints but the dashboard title they need is called feedback ... I think table and custom table usage should be added to the scope of usage analytics. I have large data sources that have been around for many years. Often dashboards are unused (which I can currently track with usage analytics) and can be deleted or archived. But the data that drives them is much harder to keep track of. I have no way of knowing which tables are used in dashboards and which ones could be removed. This is especially true for custom tables that eat up build time and might not be used at all. ... There needs to be a way to deactivate user accounts rather than completing removing. We have users that will no longer have access to the system, but could come back later (for example, trail users). The workarounds are currently: reassigning security groups (means those users are still taking up licenses) writing our own user admin functionality (only makes sense if we are integrating users to another platform) Adding a 'Status' or 'Disabled' flag to the user account would accomplish this. ... Currently, when adding a date field as a value in a pivot table, the only option is the # of years/# of days/etc. We need the option to add a minimum and/or maximum date for the selected rows. The current 'work around' for this is to create an integer date, and then use a script to format the integer to present as a date. However, when exporting the data, the date shows as the integer value in the exported data, which is an unacceptable result. Adding the date as a row value solves the export issue, but displays all date values for the lowest level of detail in the data source, which is also an unacceptable result. Custom Code is currently disabled in a multi-tenant environment, which is an odd thing to disable as it is among the many features that make Sisense so great because of the ability to manipulate the data within Sisense and part of the Tranform stage of ETL processes.  I am a Tenant Admin in my multi-tenant environment and I can click on Custom Code but I am not able to access the jupyter notebook environment. This creates a lot of confusion for clients who have multi-tenant environments and also takes a feature that the other clients have in single-tenant environments.  Sisense should seriously consider making this a permanent feature in all environments because it is so useful.  ... We want to rotate the API key for our system user but need to make sure there's no downtime.  This means we need to have 2 keys working in parallel for the same user for a period of time until we can cycle all of our services to pick up the latest api key. The problem is as soon as the API key is rotated, the old key immediately stopped working.   Majority of systems out there support key rotation (like allowing a time delay before the old key expires like FB app, or ability to temporary create a second key and then we can promote it as primary once we are ready).   Key rotation is a best practice for security principles. ...
