Allow text wrap for column / bar chart category titles
Since L2025.3, the algorithm for how ‘long’ category labels are handled in column / bar charts has been adjusted. These used to wrap as needed (and have a fairly long character string limit), but the wrapping feature has seemingly been removed completely in L2025.3. The result of this is text that would previously display fine is now overly-truncated. I thought this might have been a bug, but support are saying this is intentional. If the aggressiveness of this truncation algorithm is not going to be reviewed, please can we have the option to enable / disable text wrapping with the old character limit. Just came across this idea an it's honestly brilliant and would be really useful to us, as a user that is often struggling to juggle multiple Elasticube refreshes at appropriate times. Goillocorcent's mockup of the interface is exactly the sort of thing I was after, and I think has everything I need (with the csv export giving more flexibility if needed). I see there haven't been any updates on this since July-2024, when it was mentioned as potentially part of the H2 2024 roadmap - is this still on the horizon? I really hope so! Another vote for this suggestion. Moving multiple widgets down a larger dashboard can be very time-consuming. I like the idea of a toggle at the top of the dashboard that allows you to click a checkbox next to each widget, then drag multiple at once; into a new position, a separate dashboard, or have an option to delete them all. It would also be great to be able to 'tick' several widgets, then vertically resize one, and have all be resized to the same height. My current approach for resizing multiple widgets to be the same height is to hold a physical ruler up to my screen, which doesn't feel very high-tech!555Views1like0CommentsAdd functionality for updating the Elasticube a Pulse Alert is associated with
When changing the Elasticube associated with a dashboard, any Pulse alerts built off widgets from that dashboard will not be changed and will continue to be affected by the old Elasticube. This is an issue if you are replacing one Elasticube with another. There is no warning / message when changing a dashboard's Elasticube that pulses will be affected. There is no way to see the Elasticube a pulse is attached to - only the dashboard (but again, changing the dashboard's Elasticube doesn't change the pulses). There is no way to see which pulses are built on top of an Elasticube from the Elasticube screen (unlike with dashboards). I would like the ability when changing the Elasticube for a Dashboard that has Pulse alerts associated to it, give the prompt option to update to the new Elasticube for Pulses as well. This could either be done: Via some new UI Via some warning (similar to when you try and delete a cube with active dashboards / pulses) - but this would then also need the secondary ability to manually change the Elasticube associated with Pulses.573Views5likes2Comments
