With the "Jump to Dashboard" add-on installed & the "suppress _drill_" dashboard parameter configured, SiSense hides the _drill_ dashboards from everyone except the owner (which includes the sisenseadmin account).   As a result, it is hard for the administrator to view and/or manage _drill_ dashboards that are owned by a designer.   There is a workaround via F12 that SiSense showed me, but it's not intuitive.   It would be nice if there was a parameter to allow the sisenseadmin to always have the ability to see/edit the _drill_ dashboards (or perhaps that should be the default behavior). ... Currently, when you share a dashboard you can have it email the dashboard out to people following a couple different schedules: Every Elasticube update (with a limit on times per day) Daily (can specify which days and a time) Monthly (can specify which months and what day of the month) The trick is that elasticube updates includes failed updates.  I would like to add an option to exclude failed builds from triggering these dashboard update deliveries. Now that we have alerting for build failures, there doesn't seem to be a reason for dashboards to deliver without new information. ... View more

We embed and white label Sisense and our premium customers have the ability to author new dashboards with the formulas and attributes we provide. Our users want the ability to create new attributes, comparable to creating a new formulas. Examples: new "Northeast Location" attribute = existing location attribute that we provide where sites = A, B, C new "Shutdown 2023" = existing date field that we provide where date range between X and Y Concatenation of multiple fields to form a new attributes, comparable to Excel new "Is True" type attributes = existing attributes we expose if value(s) = ... Customers want the ability to create their own custom attribute, have then be added to the default values list, in their own "custom" section, where they can search and reuse their own creations. A nice feature in Microsoft SQL Server is the ability to see multiple data sets from queries in stacked windows. Currently only one query can be executed at a time and only display that one query's data set. It would be nice to be able to compare data by having multiple data sets appear at the bottom. Currently I have to open multiple browser windows to compare values and it can get a bit busy. It would be nice to compare 2 or more queries in the same window. As of L2023.3, in Sisense’s Helm Charts , “Tolerations” are supported by the micro-services. It prevents end-users from configuring “Taints” on the node that they want to dedicate to Sisense. Since no “Taints” are configured, so all nodes can become eligible to host Sisenses’s pods. They experienced that scenario when pods from some other application services were scheduled on a Sisense node. Would you please consider allowing the pods to be protected not only with  “Toleration” but also with “Taints”. The justification for this is that, even though it is mentioned in prerequisites documents that Sisense should be installed on dedicated servers, there is a non-negligible factor from the customers perspective that is the overhead administrative costs, especially for customers who must already manage numerous clusters for several applications, multiple environments, and redundancy.   ... Would you consider allowing to issue queries like “ALTER database.materializedView REBUILD”  instead of only allowing select commands, in this case this would allow to refresh data that would be selected by the jdbc connector. ... Currently the box and whisker plot is not supported when using a live model. When the widget is created, it has an error and won't show any data. I use Chrome browser. I keep multiple tabs of sisense opened. When the session expires, it expires on ALL the tabs (which makes total sense).  The problem is that all those tabs get redirected to the login page and I need to login on each and every one of them. It does not detect I've logged in in another tab, neither if I hit the browser Refresh button it will detect the login and redirect me to the page I was in before I got logged out.   This is annoying because I have to either login again, or open a new window and search for the dashboard I had open. Ideal expected behaviour (preferred, but probably harder): Once I'm logged out on several tabs, logging in one of them should make the others notice and log me in automatically. Good-enough behaviour ("easier"): Once I'm logged out on several tabs, logging in one of them should allow me to go to other opened tabs, which are showing the login windows, and refresh them (e.g using Ctrl+R) so that itwill automatically detect my session and redirect to the page I was before I was logged out.   This will save me a lot of time and make sisense less annoying. ... A while back the JTD didn't pick up measured values properly and we configured our dashboards so that the measured value filters were not relevant to the jump. We have some situations where there are conflicting filters with-in the measure (e.g. comparing different things as a numerator and denominator). Can you add a widget config option to ignore measured value filters? It would require adding an item in config and then adding an if statement to the filtersHelperService.js in the getMeasuredValueFilters like if(config.ignoreMeasureFilter) return [] ; around line 560. This would greatly help us out as we do have fairly complex filters running and much more often than not want to only consider dashboard and widget filters in the Jump. ... View more

I have a client that has SSO users and non-SSO users.  On Sisense advice, we have created a separate tenant for the non-SSO users.  We expect that those users would have all user email features of users as if SSO did not exist on the system.  We are finding that the new user invitation email is not enabled for these users (among other email functions).  Therefore, these users are not able to set their passwords when they are created.   As a result, we are using a common password for 600+ users.  This is obviously not satisfactory.  Those tenant users can now log in and change their password, but we have no way to enforce that they do this as we would with an invitation email.   R&D has told us this is the expected behavior (refer to case #00746676).  This behavior is not working well for my client.  I would like all user email features enabled for non-SSO tenants. ... At the moment, you can do row filtering in a Data Model, by applying an enforced filter.  This works fine in simple scenarios. In my case, I have 150 different users who each need to be able to see only their own data.  So I have to add them one-by-one to the data model's "Data Security" area.  Not only that, I have to do this to 10 different cubes, so this will be a lot of manual effort to set up and maintain over time as people come and go. What I'd like to be able to do is define a custom attribute on the User record, like "Location ID".  I'd fill it in for that user, entering "12345" for a particular user record.  That User is also a member of a group called "My Restricted Group". Then, I could go into the Data Security section, add an entry for the Location ID filter, applied to "My Restricted Group", and reference the "Location ID" number.  Then the system would enforce it at runtime -- is the logged in user a member of "My Restricted Group"?  If so, apply a fiter on the Location ID field, and fill it in with the value in their User profile. Then I only have to maintain the Location ID value in their user profile once, and only need to apply that Location ID filter once per cube, not 150 times per cube. ... View more

Sharing and emailing out dashboards currently have a time zone setting where a user could specify when a dashboard should be emailed out in a specific time zone. When you duplicate a widget in Analytics, it automatically duplicates next to your current widget. If you already have multiple widgets in that row (which you've spent time sizing to give a nice appearance on the dashboard - and they're not just distributed evenly on the row), the new widget then resizes all the previous widgets in the row so it will fit onto the row. When you then move the new widget to its own row, the widgets on the previous row have to then all be resized to get the sizes you wanted again.  Some options for different experiences... Option to duplicate widget to bottom of dashboard Option to duplicate widget to "new row" which puts the new widget on its own dedicated row below the row from which it's being duplicated When a widget is duplicated on a row, and then moved out of that row, maybe the remaining widgets could redistribute back to how they were prior to the duplication ...
