On Owner deletion, all dashboards created by him should not be deleted

Hi, Whenever an user with owner access is deleted, all the dasboard created by him are getting deleted. Also, those dashboards shared with others are also deleted. This looks like a critical issue, since the dashboard will be shared among other users, they won't be able to see any dashboard if the user gets deleted. Atleast the dashboard shared with other users should be retained. Thank You, Deviprasad

Simply put, the ability to have a button within the UI for when new users are created within a particular data group (or similar category) to replicate permissions, DS, dashboard sharing, pulse, data model shares, etc. Even simpler, the ability to have a column within User Mgmt. to show which dashboards are shared with which user.

When adding a dependent filter, the only [available] lock option is a group lock. It is more useful having the ability to lock the primary filter but allow for dependent filtering. For example, if I lock an audit title, I want to retain the ability to filter specific question(s) within the audit. If both are locked as a group, I have to ensure end users know how to filter through the widget, which can be difficult if the full text of the question does not display or the user is not proficient.

Hi, We are facing some issues in the hour timezone related to builds. There's no way to change the UTC setting for the build schedule. It's very confusing and it's generating many issues in timezones when there are changes in the hour due to summer/winter time adjustments. We tried to change the timezone in the upgrade process, but the build schedule only works in UTC. This is a nightmare for data administrators. We need to be able to set the local timezone as the build schedule setting. Best

Hello, In a multitenancy environment, it would be useful to be able to define different "look and feel" theme for each tenant. Currently, the one define on the system tenant is applied to every tenant. Thank you.

We have a client who really wants to leverage email preview (rather than or in addition attached PDF) to send important metrics to their leadership team. However, most of their reports do not fully display because the preview only uses portrait mode. Request the ability to either specify portrait/landscape mode when setting up the schedule, or just naturally follow the format that best fits the dashboard.

This data is available in the UI only. We would like to be able to use this data in a custom application that we have built. We’d like to see an API that will allow us to get the Session Table details.

**Please note this idea was migrated to the Product Feedback Forum from older submission areas** The Data Designer, when modeling an Elasticube or Live model isn’t able to define the default aggregation method. When adding a measure to a widget, an aggregation method is automatically applied. The Dashboard Designer can choose the aggregation method via a menu, but a regular click will always choose a predetermined system-wide defauilt (distinct count or sum). In some cases, the aggregation applied is not relevant and could lead to invalid results. I would like to see a feature that allows a Data Designer, when designing the data model, to define the default aggregation for a column. A Data Designer has the knowledge of the data model and what aggregation is best used for it. This ability would assist Dashboard Designers in correctly using the model.

Using the jumpToDashboard plugin, there is a feature enabled with flag "hideSharedDashboardsForNonOwner" that allow the owner of a dashboard to hide dashboards even if shared with other users. The owner is the only one who can see it. The problem of this option is that, when a dashboard is configured to be hidden, the only way the owner has to know this setting is to open the dashboard menu and check the flag status. As a result, it could happen that the owner doesn't have a clear overview of which of his dashboards are visible and which one are hidden to other users. It could be useful to show somehow to the owner, in the tile and list view, if a dashboard is hidden. One simple option is to set a value of opacity for hidden dashboard like "0.65" to distinguish them easily. Attached my implementation of this feature. It's based on 1.3.1 version of jumpToDashboard and adds this feature; it also fixes some issue I found with proxy base url set on the system (win and linux). There is a know bug in this feature (already in the base plugin version); the viewer see the real count of dashboards but then see just the dashboard that are not hidden (e.g.: 5 dashboards counted, but 3 tiles displayed). I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. Other softwares have the option of dragging and dropping any data into an area in the dashboard which will solve this issue. When opening a support ticket, it's required that a large form be completed. Among these is the Sisense Account Type, Environment, and Version. We too frequently open a support ticket only to be provided with a response unrelated to the information provided in these fields (e.g. a Linux based recommendation after specifying the issue is occurring in a Windows environment and being asked for a version number after the information was already provided). Given the global distribution of Sisense support resources, it can already take a day before expecting a response, but for that response to then be unaware of the information provided in the ticket details causes delays, extra rounds of communication (especially when our support rep doesn't realize that the Sisense response is for the wrong version), and frustrates our support teams and the clients they in turn support. And we imagine the Sisense support reps don't love finding they sent irrelevant advice and don't like seeing our support reps' confusion when they aren't already aware of the information provided in the case opening form. We appreciate Sisense support reps and want to see them support us with as little friction as possible. Thanks.

When I sort cubes in descending order and then click into a cube and come back to the list view I lose sorting. This can be annoying/frustrating. Can you make it so that my sorting remains until I change it?

Custom Code is currently disabled in a multi-tenant environment, which is an odd thing to disable as it is among the many features that make Sisense so great because of the ability to manipulate the data within Sisense and part of the Tranform stage of ETL processes. I am a Tenant Admin in my multi-tenant environment and I can click on Custom Code but I am not able to access the jupyter notebook environment. This creates a lot of confusion for clients who have multi-tenant environments and also takes a feature that the other clients have in single-tenant environments. Sisense should seriously consider making this a permanent feature in all environments because it is so useful.

When a Sisense server's IP address changes, you have to reinstall Sisense. I want a script or button that changes all the relevant settings. We need it because we're planning changes to our network. There are other reasons that an IP address might need to change, e.g. I might restore from a system image backup to a different location, or I might start a new server and, after testing, want to redirect my old server's IP address to it. We'll do it by reinstalling, but that feels like more work than it should be.

Can we get a "refresh schema for all tables" button? Reason: Our tables are usually "Select * From AnalyticsSchema.ViewName". We control which fields to return by editing the view, not the Sisense table definition. When a field gets added/removed/changed, we need to refresh schema. That's fine to do manually as you're working on that datamodel+views, but we need to refresh all when: We copy a datamodel to a different server. We need to refresh schema at least to double-check that the views are as expected on the new server. (If any fields have changed, then I'll need to go fix any widgets using those fields, or, more likely, update the view to include them.) A view gets edited, perhaps for a different datamodel, and my datamodel hasn't been updated. I edit several views and want to refresh schema for all those Sisense tables. If I've changed used fields then I'll need to go into each table manually anyway so it doesn't matter, but I've had a case where I've removed unused fields from several views and now I need to click refresh schema on every table individually.

Within dashboards, the only way to know currently if there is a filter on a widget is to open that widget. This is VERY time consuming if there are multiple widgets within a dashboard (we sometimes have up to 10). Please add an icon at the top of widgets (near the pencil would be great). If the icon is grey, no widget level filter is set. If the icon is colored in, a filter is set. If a filter is set, mousing over the icon should return a preview of what the filter is.

We are a multi-tenant software provider and we embed and white label Sisense. In our setup, we have 2 models. Model 1 is used by Engineering to create our pre-built dashboards, where we share these with specific groups we've set up so that all of our customers see our pre-built "out of the box" dashboards The second model is what we expose to our Premium users so that they can create their own custom dashboards. There are times when our customers will create a new, custom dashboard with the second model. These users sometimes share their dashboard very broadly. When this happens, there are certain users that wish to remove themselves from the share. Perhaps they don't have row-level security to see anything. Perhaps they have changed roles or simply do not use that dashboard. Note that we do not want to allow customers to remove themselves from our pre-built shared dashboards, as this could cause support confusion as to why our analytics solution is enabled but a user doesn't see "all of the dashboards". With the above noted, we would like a configurable means to show/hide a "leave shared dashboard" dashboard option, based on the model with which a dashboard is associated. This will ensure that users cannot remove themselves from our pre-built dashboards (we would hide on our model) yet allow them to remove themselves from custom dashboards that were shared with them (we would show on model 2 for self-authoring) When a user leaves a shared dashboard, there should also be configuration options to alert the owner of the dashboard via email. This email should be capable of white labeling. It should include dashboard name, who left, and when. Should there be links to the dashboard in the email, there must be a way to disable hyperlinks in the email.
