We would like to be able to dynamically aggregate different categories of data into a fewer number of categories to make the visualization and analysis of that data cleaner and more Viewer-friendly. Example: I may have records of a color that I want to count on. I may have these possible values: "Red", "RED", "red", "Blue", "BLUE", "blue", "Orange", "ORANGE", "orange", and so on. If I COUNT on these values I may get: "Red": 10 "RED": 7 "red": 12 "Blue": 2 "BLUE": 7 "blue": 22 ...and so on.. Currently, the "Upsert" build behavior is only available for Build to destination. It would be great if we were able to utilize this feature in our Elasticube model where we are not building to destination. We have numerous tables containing created date as well as updated date that are attached to an id field but are unable to use the updated date field since this will bring in duplicate (or more) rows per id which we can not have. Ranking duplicates and filtering out is not a sustainable with the size of our datasets. When building dashboards, a common frustration is the lack of ability to multi-select widgets and perform mass actions, such as moving a group of widgets all-together at the same time, or deleting multiple widgets at once. Currently, to do either of those actions, you must do it one-at-a-time on each widget individually. This is tedious and time-consuming if you have many widgets you need to move or delete. It would be nice if there was some way to select multiple widgets at once and perform some kind of mass action on them, like click-and-drag to reposition, or to select "delete" and delete all selected widgets at once. I'm not sure what the best way to do this would be. Perhaps a toggle at the top of the dashboard that allows you to click a checkbox next to each widget. Similar functionality already exists for the main dashboard list, on the left-hand sidebar...a toggle at the top will cause checkboxes to display next to each dashboard (or dashboard folder). Checking any of the boxes will cause additional options to display at the bottom of the sidebar, allowing you to export or delete the selected dashboards. Alternatively, if there were a way to "group" widgets into a container of some sort, then you could perform an action on that container which would apply to all widgets within it. For example, if you had a container, and then three widgets inside, you could select the container and move it, which would move the widgets as well, or you could select "delete" which would delete the container and everything inside it. ... Currently, dynamic/parameterized datasets are not supported in BigQuery connections. We embed Sisense into our application and produce pre-built dashboards for customers (which they cannot edit). We allow our users to create their own dashboards as well and with this comes the ability to create their own formulas. We have found that allowing them to edit the name of their formula also allows the editing of our pre-built shared formulas and our attributes. While this only impacts the user locally, it can become a support nightmare, as customers can rename our pre-built items and make it hard to them troubleshoot. We would like the ability to make these edit options more granular so that we can control (1) Shared Formula name edits (2) Attribute name edits and (3) non-shared Formula, local user dashboard, name edits. ... While it is possible to Lock a filter so that users can't change it, sometimes they get confused by the presence of that filter and want to try to change it, which results in a support call to us.  There could also be times when the filter criteria itself is sensitive. We should be able to right-click on a filter and choose "Hide from Viewers". This would also have the benefit of cleaning up the user interface a bit, so viewers don't have to wade through criteria that they can't control anyway. ... View more

Add the ability to programmatically export a Widget with specific filters and/or to export it as a certain user using the /dashboard/{id}/widgets{id}/ endpoint. User Story#1 As an admin I want to make api calls to the widget pdf export endpoint and include userid and custom filters so that I can download an export on behalf of another user in the system and specify the filters  Acceptance Criteria I can pass 2 properties to the export endpoint: User Id and filters Both parameters are optional and can be used separately from each other If a user Id parameter is provided, the Widget is exported on behalf of the provided user including the current filters applied and data security rules. If a custom filters parameter is provided, the Widget is exported with the custom filters. On the Analytics page, there is a menu on the left where dashboards are listed. It is possible to create folders to organize dashboards. Folders can be nested within other folders. Currently, It is not possible to drag and drop one folder into another. This would be useful to have. ... View more

For users who wish to receive their Dashboard contents using the Subscription service, Sisense supports embedded emails or PDF format only. For convenience and expedience, I would like to see support for users to receive compatible Dashboards (e.g. Pivot Tables) directly as an Excel attachment. End users (our customers’ customers) are Designers 2. Data models are shared across multiple tenants (with row level security) Without this the customer is forced to either manage hundreds of separate data models, which is not sustainable, or to remove all ability to save formulas, which is not acceptable for users. Idea: usage analytics reports can tell what reports use a certain field? Filter by a certain field in the usage analytics report and you will see all dashboards using that field.  It would also be beneficial to track table usage in dashboards too.  Use Case: region will be renamed to region_usa in our sql query and this could potentially break dashboards. to be proactive, i would like to know what dashboards are currently using the field 'region' so that I can redirect them to the correct field, 'region_usa' once the sisense schema & sql has been updated. ... People sometimes build bad data models. Rather than them doing more training (or asking me to help), you could build a tool that points out common problems. The user would click a button, wait a minute or so, and then get a list of potential problems and suggested changes. The tool would describe an example using their data that they can use to prove the problem (e.g. "filter a widget by Location and Date and then you see it's double counting the Dollars field"); that would be more motivating than an abstract argument. Not only can they debug themselves, doing so will be better than training for teaching them to design better data models. Here are my ideas for issues to look for. They might not always indicate a problem, but you can point them out for the user to decide. Do they use a convention for distinguishing Fact and Dim tables? Typically "fact" and "dim" prefixes for table names. Does any widget use a dim-table field in an aggregation in a Values pane formulas? Does any widget use a fact-table field in a non-values pane, or as a members filter in a formula? Do any dim-tables join to a fact-table via another fact-table? Does any pair of tables have multiple relationship paths of the shortest length? (Should be only one short path and it shouldn't include a fact table, but there might be several longer ones via other fact tables.) Any many-to-many relationships? Sometimes this is intentional and the user is meant to select a single item from a dim-table, so maybe ignore it if all uses in widgets filter one side of the relationship. ... View more

Hello, I would like to suggest adding custom number of characters for the search bar on left panel when search is performed. For example, search will start after typing 3 letters. While editing/viewing a cube data source, you can view the logs of the last build, but can't easily see the overall history of builds for that one cube. It would be nice if you could click on the "..." menu and choose View Build History.  A dialog box would pop up showing the most recent 10 builds (or whatever), sorted by date, with start/end datetime, duration, success/failure, etc. ...
