Hi, Working on a dashboard containing 3 pivot tables. Each have a lot of columns. (see print screen attached). In order to have a proper PDF, I need to turn the page format to A0 / landscape When exporting to PDF at the Dashboard level (from the pdf button top right), I access to a PDF setup, where I can choose the layout (landscape) and the paper format (A0), so that all the columns appears properly. In this screen, there is a Save button so that the PDF setup is saved for next time (see print screen) When exporting to pdf at a widget level, the same setup otions are available (landscape and A0), BUT THERE IS NO SAVE BUTTON. I have to redo this setup each time (see print screen). Could we have the the Save button on the widget / PDF option page, same as we have ar the dashboard / pdf option page please ? Thank you ... When building dashboards, a common frustration is the lack of ability to multi-select widgets and perform mass actions, such as moving a group of widgets all-together at the same time, or deleting multiple widgets at once. Currently, to do either of those actions, you must do it one-at-a-time on each widget individually. This is tedious and time-consuming if you have many widgets you need to move or delete. It would be nice if there was some way to select multiple widgets at once and perform some kind of mass action on them, like click-and-drag to reposition, or to select "delete" and delete all selected widgets at once. I'm not sure what the best way to do this would be. Perhaps a toggle at the top of the dashboard that allows you to click a checkbox next to each widget. Similar functionality already exists for the main dashboard list, on the left-hand sidebar...a toggle at the top will cause checkboxes to display next to each dashboard (or dashboard folder). Checking any of the boxes will cause additional options to display at the bottom of the sidebar, allowing you to export or delete the selected dashboards. Alternatively, if there were a way to "group" widgets into a container of some sort, then you could perform an action on that container which would apply to all widgets within it. For example, if you had a container, and then three widgets inside, you could select the container and move it, which would move the widgets as well, or you could select "delete" which would delete the container and everything inside it. ... I've been trailing the Report Manager add-on and was disappointed to see that the 'Event Based' option for triggering reports did not allow for Pulse Alerts to be used as an Event. It seems the current workaround is to use a tool like Zapier (so the pulse goes out to Zapier via webhook, which then creates the Event and goes back into Sisense, causing the report to be sent. This seems convoluted and I would have thought being able to directly integrate Pulses to trigger Reports seems like a natural fit. ... View more

When a Sisense server's IP address changes, you have to reinstall Sisense. I want a script or button that changes all the relevant settings. We need it because we're planning changes to our network. There are other reasons that an IP address might need to change, e.g. I might restore from a system image backup to a different location, or I might start a new server and, after testing, want to redirect my old server's IP address to it. Currently, the Area Map widget only offers two map types: World and USA. This becomes problematic if your data is limited to a specific country (Indonesia, in my case), and you only want to display that country on the map. I've managed to filter for Indonesia using the following code: ...res.geoJson.features.filter(feature => feature.properties.name === 'Indonesia'), However, this approach leads to another issue: when the dashboard loads, the Indonesian area is too small, and I have to manually zoom in. I would greatly appreciate any code or method to set the widget to automatically zoom into the Indonesian region when displayed on the dashboard. ... Currently, dynamic/parameterized datasets are not supported in BigQuery connections. You can parameterize the service account information, which is great, but it would be helpful to be able to use a parameter to swap the dataset in the BigQuery connection based on who's currently viewing the dashboard.   For reference, parameterized datasets and schemas are supported by other database engines: Azure Synapse MS SQL MySQL PostgreSQL Redshift Snowflake ... We produce pre-built dashboards for our customers.  They can build their own as well.  Often, they will start with one of our pre-built dashboards and modify to their needs. Users want a way to "filter out" our pre-built once they have created their own.  One mechanism mentioned was the ability to "Favorite" a dashboard and have a new "Favorites" toggle on the Analytics tab. ... Add the ability to programmatically export a Widget with specific filters and/or to export it as a certain user using the /dashboard/{id}/widgets{id}/ endpoint. User Story#1 As an admin I want to make api calls to the widget pdf export endpoint and include userid and custom filters so that I can download an export on behalf of another user in the system and specify the filters  Acceptance Criteria I can pass 2 properties to the export endpoint: User Id and filters Both parameters are optional and can be used separately from each other If a user Id parameter is provided, the Widget is exported on behalf of the provided user including the current filters applied and data security rules. If a custom filters parameter is provided, the Widget is exported with the custom filters. There is no merge between the existing Widget filters and the custom filters parameter.  The is an option to provide an empty custom filters parameter, in this case, no filters are applied to the dashboard.  User story #2 As a user (not admin) I want to make api calls to the Widget pdf export endpoint and include custom filters so that I can download an export with custom filters  Acceptance Criteria I can pass a custom filters parameter to the export to the Export endpoint The custom filters parameter is a jaql query that will replace the current dashboard filters The custom filters will respect my data security  I can provide an empty custom filters parameter that will remove all filters from the report. ... The helm chart supplied with Sisense allows global annotation of all service accounts within the sisense namespace. For example I can annotate an AWS role that is able to be assumed by pods: helm upgrade sisense ${sisense_chart} --namespace sisense \ --reuse-values \ --set global.serviceAccountAnnotations."eks\.amazonaws\.com/role-arn"=${pod_role_arn} While this covers most of the pods by updating all the sisense-* service accounts in kubernetes the ec-build pod (the one that actually builds the elasticube) only uses the default service account in the sisense namespace. A workaround is to annotate the default service account: kubectl annotate serviceaccount default eks.amazonaws.com/role-arn=${pod_role_arn} --namespace sisense But it seems odd that the pod would a) assume the default service account when all other pods have service accounts explicitly defined for them and b) despite having gone to the trouble of wiring up global service account annotations in helm for them not to be applied at the final step of elasticube building. This specific use case is for supplying web identity tokens to a JDBC driver so that you can interact with AWS by using a specific OIDC assumed pod role, rather than using an EC2 role or worse, static credentials in a file or connection string. Hi, There are many widget types that are part of the core of an analytical solution. Examples like Tabber, Jump to Dashboard, Accordion... are tools that the business users find very powerful and gives Sisense the fleixbility in the visualization that put the platform in the road to copete with powerful visualization tools like Tableau. But, the profile of most of designers are business analyst or business users. To use and to configure properly this kind of visualizations, makes them to enter in a Javascript world, that it's very confusing and dirty. It makes that the promise of "self service" is not to close. I would like to see some improvements regarding the pivot table in Sisense: Measures as rows Right now, when you add multiple measures to the pivot table they are automatically added as an extra column. Every major player in the BI business allows for measures to be added as rows, I would like Sisense to do so as well Expandable dimensions (could be used for almost every widget type) Let's say I have a pivot table showing revenues with categories as rows and years as columns. Ideally, I would like these to be expandable, i.e. if I click on the + icon for years, it should show me the quarters, months and so on. This could also be implemented for line, bar and column charts.  For categories e.g. I would like to expand to sub-categories. Currently there’s no way on the Sisense UI to have an overview of when the next ElastiCube Builds are set for. Having such info available would make it possible to easily select relevant time slots to run load testing scripts for instance, but also more broadly to help understand and finetune the current Builds orchestration. In order to do so, we would like for admin roles to have access to a single table-like page that would list all the Builds scheduled in the next 24 hours with the following columns: ElastiCube name Build start date Build theoretical end date* Last successful Build duration * Build theoretical end date = Build start date + Last successful Build duration * (or NULL in the rare event where the Build has never succeeded before) Additional features: CSV Export Sort option on column headers Pagination Note: a single Elasticube can have more than one entry (in the example below, we assume the admin user opens the page at 3:00 PM and the ElastiCube_B's Build is launched every 2 hours). ... Upon receiving the warning "Maximum number of series (50) exceeded", the warning does not reappear with a widget, dashboard, or page refresh. Instead, a filter change is required in order to trigger it again. IMO the warning should persist with refreshes and be visible every time due to the impact of the limitation being exceed - data is literally missing from the widget and the widget does not reflect the data set expected by the user.  To that end of being clear about the impact of having more series than the limitation allows, the warning would be best reworded to indicate that impact and avoid users making decisions on an uncontrolled subset of data. For example, "Results limited to maximum number of series (50)..." or "Data limited..." This limitation should also be documented in Sisense documentation, but is not currently. ... View more

Can we get a "refresh schema for all tables" button? Reason: Our tables are usually "Select * From AnalyticsSchema.ViewName". We control which fields to return by editing the view, not the Sisense table definition. When a field gets added/removed/changed, we need to refresh schema. That's fine to do manually as you're working on that datamodel+views, but we need to refresh all when: We copy a datamodel to a different server. We need to refresh schema at least to double-check that the views are as expected on the new server. (If any fields have changed, then I'll need to go fix any widgets using those fields, or, more likely, update the view to include them.) A view gets edited, perhaps for a different datamodel, and my datamodel hasn't been updated.  I edit several views and want to refresh schema for all those Sisense tables. If I've changed used fields then I'll need to go into each table manually anyway so it doesn't matter, but I've had a case where I've removed unused fields from several views and now I need to click refresh schema on every table individually. ... This is a request to enhance this feature in community thread of the same title. This is useful because it allows users to see all the available dimension for a particular list of filters even if there are no facts for it. I understand that we can also use this community thread; however, this is only limited to 1 dimension. However, right now, it does not work when [Columns] field are added into pivot table. The email schedules have a limitation when the file used in attachment is large in size. Most email servers have a 25mb max limit.  It would be really helpful, if there was an option to include a downloadable link in the email. When a user schedules an email, with the link option, the attachment is downloaded to a temporary path and the link to that path is provided in the email. Clicking on the link should download the file from the temporary path which can be an s3 bucket or from some server. We can keep a retention policy of few days for the files. ... View more

Within dashboards, the only way to know currently if there is a filter on a widget is to open that widget. This is VERY time consuming if there are multiple widgets within a dashboard (we sometimes have up to 10). Please add an icon at the top of widgets (near the pencil would be great). If the icon is grey, no widget level filter is set. If the icon is colored in, a filter is set. If a filter is set, mousing over the icon should return a preview of what the filter is. ... View more

It would have been great if there was a quicker way to update the SSL certificates on the Sisense server without having to run the update install. There are clients who do not wish to provide internet connection on the server once Sisense install is complete. As I understand it, if Sisense was installed with internet connection on, then we need to have internet connection in order to re-run the installer successfully. So we will have to make a request to the client to provide internet connection again to run the update install. It would have been good if there was an alternative way to update the SSL certificate.  ... View more
