Currently, when adding a date field as a value in a pivot table, the only option is the # of years/# of days/etc. We need the option to add a minimum and/or maximum date for the selected rows. The current 'work around' for this is to create an integer date, and then use a script to format the integer to present as a date. However, when exporting the data, the date shows as the integer value in the exported data, which is an unacceptable result. Adding the date as a row value solves the export issue, but displays all date values for the lowest level of detail in the data source, which is also an unacceptable result. I think table and custom table usage should be added to the scope of usage analytics. I have large data sources that have been around for many years. Often dashboards are unused (which I can currently track with usage analytics) and can be deleted or archived. But the data that drives them is much harder to keep track of. I have no way of knowing which tables are used in dashboards and which ones could be removed. This is especially true for custom tables that eat up build time and might not be used at all. ... When viewing a dashboard and the filter panel is collapsed, it is near impossible for a new user to find the filter panel expand button. WHY IS IT SO SMALL??  Please update the UI so the filter panel is more intuitive to find and expand. The v1 Excel exporter included functionality that would export Pivot Table widgets to an XLSX file that was aggregated just like what users see inside of Sisense in their browser. We are now using the v2 Excel exporter and it no longer has this functionality, apparently by design. I think the v2 Excel exporter should also have aggregation functionality so that the XLSX export for Pivot Tables is just like what users were seeing with the v1 exporter. Custom Code is currently disabled in a multi-tenant environment, which is an odd thing to disable as it is among the many features that make Sisense so great because of the ability to manipulate the data within Sisense and part of the Tranform stage of ETL processes.  I am a Tenant Admin in my multi-tenant environment and I can click on Custom Code but I am not able to access the jupyter notebook environment. This creates a lot of confusion for clients who have multi-tenant environments and also takes a feature that the other clients have in single-tenant environments.  Sisense should seriously consider making this a permanent feature in all environments because it is so useful.  ... We want to rotate the API key for our system user but need to make sure there's no downtime.  This means we need to have 2 keys working in parallel for the same user for a period of time until we can cycle all of our services to pick up the latest api key. The problem is as soon as the API key is rotated, the old key immediately stopped working.   Majority of systems out there support key rotation (like allowing a time delay before the old key expires like FB app, or ability to temporary create a second key and then we can promote it as primary once we are ready).   Key rotation is a best practice for security principles. ... It would have been great if there was a quicker way to update the SSL certificates on the Sisense server without having to run the update install. There are clients who do not wish to provide internet connection on the server once Sisense install is complete. As I understand it, if Sisense was installed with internet connection on, then we need to have internet connection in order to re-run the installer successfully. So we will have to make a request to the client to provide internet connection again to run the update install. We embed Sisense into our application and produce pre-built dashboards for customers (which they cannot edit). We allow our users to create their own dashboards as well and with this comes the ability to create their own formulas. We have found that allowing them to edit the name of their formula also allows the editing of our pre-built shared formulas and our attributes. While this only impacts the user locally, it can become a support nightmare, as customers can rename our pre-built items and make it hard to them troubleshoot. We would like the ability to make these edit options more granular so that we can control (1) Shared Formula name edits (2) Attribute name edits and (3) non-shared Formula, local user dashboard, name edits. ...
