With the Sisense Report Manager add-on, we need the ability for a Viewer to create AND modify a report schedule that has been shared with them. Example: Jack (Designer) shared a report with Jill (Viewer) to monitor the health of her building assets. Jill would like to get a snapshot of this report emailed to her every month; however, she must manually communicate with Jack for him to create this report schedule on her behalf. Jill would like to create the report schedule herself.  Jack created the report schedule to be sent to Jill every month. After three months of this, Jill prefers the report schedule to be sent out on a weekly basis. She must manually communicate with Jack for him to modify this report schedule on her behalf. Jill would like to modify the report schedule herself.  Now multiply Jill by thousands of customers for our specific business use case... This will quickly become unsustainable for us. Please prioritize these features for Report Manager as it is a premium Sisense add-on.   We understand that today with the Sisense native scheduler, a Viewer would be able to modify their report schedule if the creator allows the Viewer to edit subscription settings. For now, dimensions are displayed to the dashboard designer in the alphabetic orders of the tables / columns names. I would like the datamodel designer to have the control over sorting / grouping the dimensions. With the "Jump to Dashboard" add-on installed & the "suppress _drill_" dashboard parameter configured, SiSense hides the _drill_ dashboards from everyone except the owner (which includes the sisenseadmin account).   As a result, it is hard for the administrator to view and/or manage _drill_ dashboards that are owned by a designer.   There is a workaround via F12 that SiSense showed me, but it's not intuitive.   It would be nice if there was a parameter to allow the sisenseadmin to always have the ability to see/edit the _drill_ dashboards (or perhaps that should be the default behavior). ... Currently, when using the Usage Analytics EC you do not have the ability to audit for everything you need when it comes to what your users are downloading.  Right now all we can audit for is PDF, Image, and CSV.  I would like the ability to be able to audit for Excel, PPT and any download options that are made available. Management wants to know who is downloading what, but right now we can only give data for some items and only for 30 days.   I would like to be able to have a larger selection of items to audit that utilize a customizable timeframe for how long to retain history for a select data point. If we are to audit for a pattern of downloads 30 days does not meet our needs.  Currently, if we want to audit for more than 30 days, we would need to get the data in a format that can then be loaded into an external DB that can then be reincorporated back into an EC for reporting.  This seems to be a waste of time and resources when this should be able to happen in the source system. ... While there are some workarounds... * create a user on behalf of the recipient  * create a user that has the email address of an email distribution list * create a forwarding rule in your email  ...many of our users would like to schedule some dashboards to be sent via email with support for a pdf attachment to people who are not and will never be Sisense users in their system. Our application (we're OEM) supports this for reports in the application, and there's an expectation that dashboard emailing would exhibit the same support. As it is clients have to create an application user per external recipient, log in as the user and SSO to Sisense to the recipient available as a dashboard subscriber. In some cases, work can be reduced with an application user that represents an email distribution group instead of an account per user, but even that requires a lot of maintenance from dashboard to dashboard as their recipient lists vary so much. The best work around is using forwarding rules in users' email clients so that when they receive the dashboard subscription, it's automatically forwarded to those external recipients. However, the forwarding process is then tied to a specific user's email account which introduces risk should change need making when they're not available, or the organization.   If the variability of filters and data security is the concern, then perhaps sending in the context of the owner copy is a step toward an answer without meeting the more robust needs of defining different data security for different non-user recipients of the same dashboard.  ... Currently, when adding a date field as a value in a pivot table, the only option is the # of years/# of days/etc. We need the option to add a minimum and/or maximum date for the selected rows. The current 'work around' for this is to create an integer date, and then use a script to format the integer to present as a date. However, when exporting the data, the date shows as the integer value in the exported data, which is an unacceptable result. Adding the date as a row value solves the export issue, but displays all date values for the lowest level of detail in the data source, which is also an unacceptable result. If it was possible to add the minimum or maximum of a date field as a value in the pivot tables, this would solve all of the issues we currently have. ... View more

When I select options for view on the Analytics tab e.g. 'Created By Me' view  and then navigate away from the tab on return the view defaults back to 'Recent' - Would it be possible to remember my previous selection for view on the analytics tab and display using this view instead of defaulting back to a Recents view ?  This would be helpful when working with a lot of different dashboards and navigating to / from this screen. ... When using Sisense Live Models, the lowest level of granularity when visualizing date-time data is “Round to 15 min”, not at the minute level. Versus, when using Elasticubes, the most granular option is every minute. At Splash we have been using report manager for email delivery of reports to external partners. These are outside partners with minimum technical skills and want CSV reports delivered with data. We ended up solving his need using report manager plugin. There are several issues with report manager plugin that we have experienced in last few months and I wanted to understand if there is a different more stable and feature rich option for us. List of issues I am tracking No way for Sisense users to see who is on the email list, other than admins. Only Admins see the report manager tab. I would like users to manage or be able to review who is getting the reports. Email delivery is limited, who gets a report to answer I need to review each job manually. Error notification is never sent to the default email or the email provided in the job setup often due to server failure Intermittent failures with report delivery due to limitation on delivery efficiency or create some retry logic, to queue emails for retry Self serve ability, without buying more licenses how do we enable external partners to have a robust reporting platform where they can self serve. Example when they login they have access to a suite of reports that are canned reports ready to download each day. No SFTP delivery mechanism All report manager jobs appear in a list view, it is very cumbersome to manage I would like to understand how else can I leverage Sisense to build feature rich reporting capability. Sisense ElastiCubes are the biggest consumer of our snowflake credits because we have to build our cubes every 30 mins to keep data fresh in Sisense. It would be useful to have time of the day level control on scheduling the build. Like Build daily at an interval only between the hours of x and y or other cron based scheduling. cron scheduling would be great since it allows us to set build windows, not build as frequently on weekends, etc. This would immensely help with cost saving. Under certain circumstances, when adding data elements to a widget, the item is added a "named" formula instead of inserting exactly the syntax of the data element and the corresponding function. Example, let's say I add an indicator, then through the Data Browser, I search for "order number", then I click on that data element, Sisense will automatically use the COUNT function on that column. In some cases, Sisense will simply add a "named" formula and in widget editor, I'll see [Count of Order Number]. I have no way of knowing with certainty which column and which function is being used unless I hover over that item and a pop up shows me the actual function and column*. Instead, I don't wnat the "named" formula showing up. If Sisense is going to insert a function for me, using the above example, Sisense should insert COUNT([order number]). This is obviously an intended feature/beahvior, but it should be controllable at the Admin level. *I've seen in some cases that the pop up still doesn't show the actual function and column name; that's a bug ...
