For now, dimensions are displayed to the dashboard designer in the alphabetic orders of the tables / columns names. I would like the datamodel designer to have the control over sorting / grouping the dimensions. Currently, when using the Usage Analytics EC you do not have the ability to audit for everything you need when it comes to what your users are downloading.  Right now all we can audit for is PDF, Image, and CSV.  I would like the ability to be able to audit for Excel, PPT and any download options that are made available. Management wants to know who is downloading what, but right now we can only give data for some items and only for 30 days.   I would like to be able to have a larger selection of items to audit that utilize a customizable timeframe for how long to retain history for a select data point. If we are to audit for a pattern of downloads 30 days does not meet our needs.  Currently, if we want to audit for more than 30 days, we would need to get the data in a format that can then be loaded into an external DB that can then be reincorporated back into an EC for reporting.  This seems to be a waste of time and resources when this should be able to happen in the source system. ... Unsure if it has to do with the numerous columns that we have in this table specifically but there is no drag scrollbar to be able to see beyond the first 6 columns. Current State: As of now Sisense supports adding of pulse alerts only for select chart types, like, Indicator, Area, Line, Bar and Column. Current state - You can only use color conditional formatting on numerics in the value section of a pivot table.  But it would be nice if you could also apply color formatting on text.   An example of this would be green on the value 'Confident', orange on the word 'At Risk' and red on the word 'Not Possible'. Currently the way the Sisense creates its query for dashboards, is it creates a common table expression for each entity created in the data model. Then applies the date filter after the join between the CTE.  During this process, it looks like its scanning the entire table of the CTE, which can be problematic if the underlying table used in the CTE is really large.  It will be better if the filter for dates can be applied within the CTE for such large tables, thus avoiding large table scans and help load the report faster. When using Starred Filters, end uses can create their own filter and save the selection for repeat use. However, any Starred Filter created will be visible to all users regardless of their Group or Parameter assignment. This is because these items are stored in the Data Browser as additional elements linked only to the data source and not to a user or group. As a result, this causes confusion, lack of control where one end users Starred Filters can be removed by another and concerns about data security. Appreciate utilising multitenancy would be a solution, however, this is not possible in all circumstances and requires a significant amount of additional administration.  I am recommending a functionality change to control / limit the visibility of Starred Filters to the User or Group that created them.  ... Suggestion for improving subscribed dashboards: Include the date/time of the last cube build in subscribed dashboard emails.  Currently, we see the date/time per the settings configured in the subscription. We'd like to also see the date/time that shows when the data was pulled, or the "as-of". If there is a discrepancy in data, or if/when we need to trace back and review platform data changes, or if changes are made after the subscribed reports that may be important to call out to shared dashboard subscription recipients.  Thank you! ... Currently, the ArcGIS Map Integration allows only one data point to be displayed as a tooltip. It is crucial for us to have the ability to show multiple data points in the tooltip. Currently, when we select the option to highlight in a widget data is, nevertheless, usually sliced in other widgets using different categories. Imagine we have three bar charts and a table, all of which are marked as HIGHLIGHT. Each widget and table contains a different category, this is the relevant part. I would like to be able to select a category in one of the widgets and be able to see all elements in the other widgets, but just highlighted. Currently, since these are different categories than the one selected, they are sliced. Jump To Dashboard add-in It lists dashboards with the _drill_ prefix. It lists only dashboards using the same datasource. I have a drill-down dashboard that uses two datasources: one that matches my parent dashboard, and one that shows more granular information. Create a pivot widget of RSUM( [Total Quantity] ) over time (rows) and break by (columns) age range. Scanning down each column, over rows, the numbers only increase. Now change it to a line widget. The break by defaults from an RSUM within columns in the pivot to an RSUM within rows in the line chart. This is the same as not having an RSUM and doing a stacked area. Our clients expect the line chart the results from changing the pivot to a line chart, to reflect the same output as the source pivot. As it stands now, they are surprised to see negative curvature in their RSUM, think something is broken, and open a support ticket. The default behavior should be to render Break by Columns instead of Rows. As an aside, I'm having trouble coming up with, and would be interested in hearing, use cases for charts with break by set to rows.  ... View more

The content/formatting/text contained in the various Sisense-generated/automated emails is currently static. I went through a long dialog with support and determined that  it's not customizable by customers. I would like it if we could modify these emails, and I'd especially like to have access to dynamic variables that we can insert in the email body (or subject). "Analyse SQL" helped me understand some widget measure formulas and filters. I wanted to then experiment with it in Sisense's "SQL Runner", but that didn't work: the query is too large, and it uses strange names for tables and columns (aFactXwAaSaleXwAaorders for the table Fact_Sale_orders, and aCountryCode for the CountryCode column). It'd be helpful if you modified SQL Runner and/or Analyse SQL so that I can paste results, edit, and run them. The purpose to help me investigate questions such as "How does this filter affect my measure?" or "What does my colleague's horribly convoluted measure formula mean, why is it wrong, and how might I fix it?" or "Is my widget doing unexpected joins?". I want an option to remove the "Can Design" role when sharing dashboards (yaml? admin settings? does it already exist?). I dislike the role because: Users don't realise that they're editing a temporary copy, and that the owner can Republish to overwrite. They might make many changes, and then months later someone republishes the owner/master version. I'm not entirely sure if republish always overwrites - if the user has made changes, do they keep their version when you republish or get the new one? If they keep theirs, it makes it confusing when trying to make changes requested by a user, because you make a change, click republish, and then the user forgets to click the revert-to-master-button. Instead of the Designer Role, users can just duplicate the dashboard. That way, no risk of overwrite or confusion.   ... View more

Currently, when exporting CSVs, numerical values are wrapped in quotes. For example, if I had   Customer_1, "204.56" Customer_2, "34.89" the values "204.56" and "34.89" are wrapped in quotes even though they're numeric values. Please allow for exporting of CSVs without double-quotes. ... View more
