We consulted Sisense and several links and scripts were provided. However, we noticed that if the pivot table contains both row and value columns, the value columns might not display correctly - depending on the column width. See attached screenshot. We believe the ability to hide columns in pivot tables should be a standard and basic feature and hope to get enough support so that this gets prioritized. Re: Hide a column - Linux Pivot Does not work in Linux either. Use a datetime (dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm) in a chart axis When we want to create a time series chart, we often need to show the data per hour range, i.e. 01/07/2025 01:00, 02:00 etc. Using ElasticCubes, it is impossible to display a datetime as the X axis. Instead, Sisense suggests to use a text field with the desired format. This solution is far from optimal, so we would like to encourage Sisense development team to consider adding the option to add a datetime field, that includes both date and time in the same field, to be displayed in charts, not only for Live models but also for ElasticCubes Re: Folder and Dashboard Ownership for Multiple Users Sisense should focus on enabling a more collaborative approach when it comes to working with dashboards and, particularly, folders. We really struggle with folder management and have decided to completely get rid of them until Sisense finds an optimal solution. Re: dashboard filter using formulas We tried this and it WORKS great! Thanks for sharing. The only downside it that once the filter is defined, the formula can´t be changed (e.g. if the user would want to change the value in the formula). Re: dashboard filter using formulas How do you create such a filter at dashboard level (not widget level)? My biggest problem is to be able to create a filter on a field that does not exist as such in the datamodel (but can be created with a formula) and use this filter across different widgets, not just a particular one. It needs to be a dashboard filter, as you mention, but I haven´t been able to create a dashboard filter with formulas. Thanks for your help! Metadata-Translations plugin to be able to translate text in Blox and Tabber widgets Sisense´s metadata-translations plugin currently supports the translation of texts used in the different types of widgets. This is not the case for Blox and Tabber elements. If you use translations of the dashboards to different languages, it is essential that ALL elements are translated. Therefore, it would be great to have all texts in all widget types to be translated using this plug-in. Re: Allow date with time formatting in pivot tabel It is really inconvenient to have to split the datetime into date and then time. Also, we work with logs and having the option to display the seconds is a must. Certainly, Sisense could do better in this respect. Additionally, it is difficult to sort by this datetime field all at once, not having to choose between sorting by date or time but having the option to sort by both at the same time. Our workaround was to add the datetime as a float, add it to the table, use for sorting and then use Javascript to hide the column. In this regard, it would be great to have an option to hide a column without having to use code. We sometimes need to add a column just for the sake of not having fields in the pivot grouped, as this makes the sorting by other fields a bit problematic. Re: Annotating and commenting in formula code wallingfordce I am about to do that! Re: dashboard filter using formulas This is such a relevant feature to have!! Kudos to yevheniibz !
