Hi, I want to show in my dashboard the values of the last 12 months period. As I do not want to select the month every month manually, it should be dynamically taking always the last 12 months. So far I am using the advanced settings in the filter: { "last": { "count": 12, "offset": 0 }, "custom": true } The issue is, that my available data is not always up to date. Therefore, I want to select the last 12 months counting the offset back 2 months from the selected month in the filter. As far as I understood is that the offset counts back from the current date disregarding the filters settings. For now, dimensions are displayed to the dashboard designer in the alphabetic orders of the tables / columns names. I would like the datamodel designer to have the control over sorting / grouping the dimensions. Currently, when using the Usage Analytics EC you do not have the ability to audit for everything you need when it comes to what your users are downloading.  Right now all we can audit for is PDF, Image, and CSV.  I would like the ability to be able to audit for Excel, PPT and any download options that are made available. Management wants to know who is downloading what, but right now we can only give data for some items and only for 30 days.   I would like to be able to have a larger selection of items to audit that utilize a customizable timeframe for how long to retain history for a select data point. If we are to audit for a pattern of downloads 30 days does not meet our needs.  Currently, if we want to audit for more than 30 days, we would need to get the data in a format that can then be loaded into an external DB that can then be reincorporated back into an EC for reporting.  This seems to be a waste of time and resources when this should be able to happen in the source system. ... In report manager, when trying to add recipients for email, we receive sisense user email id suggestions based on keyword entered. This can be confusing to users, as our end users send emails to external recipients(non sisense) and that email id suggestion is sisense internal user email. In dashboard filters we currently cannot add custom tool tip to filters. While using the dashboard, it will be helpful to add some tool tip description to the filter which may pop up by hovering around it or through some information icon. For example, if a user needs to use a custom filter, the JAQL syntax may not be intuitive. Using some tool tip, will help a user understand how to use the filter in a JAQL format. ... View more

When we are building pivot tables, sometimes there is a need to sort things by the columns. If I want to show a pivot table with a Team Lead as the rows, Total Spend and Total Volume as the values, and Weeks as the the columns, I have no way to sort this to show the date in descending order and keep the table structure the way I want to see it. When using dependent filters and selecting new filter values this automatically resets all filter values already chosen.  Whilst this is desirable from a security perspective, not all models have security applied.  The proposition here is to have a toggle or similar that the designer/owner of the dashboard can use to turn this behavior on/off.  Thus the reset reasoning behind this can be maintained if required for that model or use case and the behavior can be turned off if non resetting is optimal for the use case needed. ... NOTE: This is based on a post I made in the "Help & How To" forum. It was recommended to me to make a post here, in the Product Feedback forum, about it. There should be a way for Sisense to display the currently-selected filter values directly on the dashboard. I know that users can see this by expanding the right-hand sidebar to see the Dashboard Filters, and it's also a display option when you export to PDF. However, these aren't always obvious or available to the intended audience for the dashboard. For example, if I have a dashboard that's setup with a dashboard-level filter for "Work Group", it would be nice if I could display - directly on the dashboard itself - what work group is currently being filtered down to. Also, some of the values can be unclear, especially for date filters that use colloquial language such as "This Year" or "Last Quarter". There should be some way of displaying the exact date ranges that are being filtered for. For example, if today is November 13th 2024, then the "Last Quarter" filter value would mean dates from July 1st 2024 through September 30th 2024. But after the new year, if I were to check the dashboard again on January 6th 2025, then the date range would instead be from October 1st 2024 through December 31st 2024. Currently, in both cases, it'll just still how as "Last Quarter" and it's up to the user to figure out what that means (which can be difficult if they're looking at a static printout from some unknown time in the past). Other time periods can also be ambiguous or prone to misunderstanding. For instance, it's common to see people assume "Last Week" means a rolling time period covering the last 7 days, rather than the prior calendar week. Hi, I have issue with setting two date dimensions in dashboard. The goal I want to achieve is to have a history of records, which are also have it's own date dimension. You can download model and dashboard. I would like to have difference in growth ower selected period for defined dates. For example 2 days ago I sold a car for 1000, and yesterday the proce have changed to 1500. The sale date is for today. So the growth over 2 days is 1500, and for 1 day 500. Additionally i would like to compare those values to previous year, and go back with both date dimensions. Tricky part is also, that if there is not sale for this year, PastYear() wont count prior year. I tried to play around with filtered measure plugin, however it doesn't give me exactly what i want. Jump To Dashboard add-in It lists dashboards with the _drill_ prefix. It lists only dashboards using the same datasource. I have a drill-down dashboard that uses two datasources: one that matches my parent dashboard, and one that shows more granular information. When we send more than one Combined Excel Report while using a dashboard having different filters on it. Names of those combined Excel sheet we get from them is same as they were using same dashboard for creating a report, which is difficult to identify when downloaded simultaneously. Create a pivot widget of RSUM( [Total Quantity] ) over time (rows) and break by (columns) age range. Scanning down each column, over rows, the numbers only increase. Now change it to a line widget. The break by defaults from an RSUM within columns in the pivot to an RSUM within rows in the line chart. This is the same as not having an RSUM and doing a stacked area. Our clients expect the line chart the results from changing the pivot to a line chart, to reflect the same output as the source pivot. As it stands now, they are surprised to see negative curvature in their RSUM, think something is broken, and open a support ticket. The default behavior should be to render Break by Columns instead of Rows. As an aside, I'm having trouble coming up with, and would be interested in hearing, use cases for charts with break by set to rows.  ... View more

The content/formatting/text contained in the various Sisense-generated/automated emails is currently static. I went through a long dialog with support and determined that  it's not customizable by customers. I would like it if we could modify these emails, and I'd especially like to have access to dynamic variables that we can insert in the email body (or subject). User's first name or last name were specific for my use case, but having access to a variety of variable could be helpful. ... View more

"Analyse SQL" helped me understand some widget measure formulas and filters. I wanted to then experiment with it in Sisense's "SQL Runner", but that didn't work: the query is too large, and it uses strange names for tables and columns (aFactXwAaSaleXwAaorders for the table Fact_Sale_orders, and aCountryCode for the CountryCode column). It'd be helpful if you modified SQL Runner and/or Analyse SQL so that I can paste results, edit, and run them. The purpose to help me investigate questions such as "How does this filter affect my measure?" or "What does my colleague's horribly convoluted measure formula mean, why is it wrong, and how might I fix it?" or "Is my widget doing unexpected joins?". Our clients find that the sorting option is not available in Pivot widget, but it's available in Table widget; and on the other hand, we have available the "Drill into" and "Jump To Dashboard" features in Pivot widget, but it's not available in Table widget. That is why I suggest that we should have the feature to "Drill into" and "Jump To Dashboard" in Pivot widget, because that way we'll have all the functionalities needed to sort, drill into and jump to other dashboards in this Pivot widget. I want an option to remove the "Can Design" role when sharing dashboards (yaml? admin settings? does it already exist?). I dislike the role because: Users don't realise that they're editing a temporary copy, and that the owner can Republish to overwrite. They might make many changes, and then months later someone republishes the owner/master version. I'm not entirely sure if republish always overwrites - if the user has made changes, do they keep their version when you republish or get the new one? If they keep theirs, it makes it confusing when trying to make changes requested by a user, because you make a change, click republish, and then the user forgets to click the revert-to-master-button.
