When using Starred Filters, end uses can create their own filter and save the selection for repeat use. However, any Starred Filter created will be visible to all users regardless of their Group or Parameter assignment. This is because these items are stored in the Data Browser as additional elements linked only to the data source and not to a user or group. As a result, this causes confusion, lack of control where one end users Starred Filters can be removed by another and concerns about data security. Appreciate utilising multitenancy would be a solution, however, this is not possible in all circumstances and requires a significant amount of additional administration.  I am recommending a functionality change to control / limit the visibility of Starred Filters to the User or Group that created them.  ... It looks like the sorting on compose SDK charts is very limited.  You cannot pass a predicate (callback function) to define your own sorting, you can only specify ascending or descending. So, if that's the case, anytime we need to be able to sort a column by another column, we'll have to use the queryService and sort it ourselves. ... View more

Suggestion for improving subscribed dashboards: Include the date/time of the last cube build in subscribed dashboard emails.  Currently, we see the date/time per the settings configured in the subscription. We'd like to also see the date/time that shows when the data was pulled, or the "as-of". If there is a discrepancy in data, or if/when we need to trace back and review platform data changes, or if changes are made after the subscribed reports that may be important to call out to shared dashboard subscription recipients.  Thank you! ... Currently, the ArcGIS Map Integration allows only one data point to be displayed as a tooltip. It is crucial for us to have the ability to show multiple data points in the tooltip. Currently, when we select the option to highlight in a widget data is, nevertheless, usually sliced in other widgets using different categories. Imagine we have three bar charts and a table, all of which are marked as HIGHLIGHT. Each widget and table contains a different category, this is the relevant part. I would like to be able to select a category in one of the widgets and be able to see all elements in the other widgets, but just highlighted. Currently, since these are different categories than the one selected, they are sliced. Jump To Dashboard add-in It lists dashboards with the _drill_ prefix. It lists only dashboards using the same datasource. I have a drill-down dashboard that uses two datasources: one that matches my parent dashboard, and one that shows more granular information. There is no option to modify table columns width in notebook results. This means that if I query a dataset of accessed URLs, where the end of the line matters most I cannot see anything beyond the domain name.  Optional workarounds are hovering row by row or exporting all results to CSV. Both are cumbersome. Modifying columns width seems to be a common notebook functionality in similar solutions, so it would be nice if Sisense could support this as well.  ... View more

In my datamodel, I want to delete 10 tables with names ending with "MySpecialSuffix". So, I go to datamodel list view and search for "MySpecialSuffix". I click delete on the first table. But then it loses my filter. So I have to re-type my filter for each table I want to delete. ... View more

Create a pivot widget of RSUM( [Total Quantity] ) over time (rows) and break by (columns) age range. Scanning down each column, over rows, the numbers only increase. Now change it to a line widget. The break by defaults from an RSUM within columns in the pivot to an RSUM within rows in the line chart. This is the same as not having an RSUM and doing a stacked area. Our clients expect the line chart the results from changing the pivot to a line chart, to reflect the same output as the source pivot. As it stands now, they are surprised to see negative curvature in their RSUM, think something is broken, and open a support ticket. The default behavior should be to render Break by Columns instead of Rows. As an aside, I'm having trouble coming up with, and would be interested in hearing, use cases for charts with break by set to rows.  ... View more

The content/formatting/text contained in the various Sisense-generated/automated emails is currently static. I went through a long dialog with support and determined that  it's not customizable by customers. I would like it if we could modify these emails, and I'd especially like to have access to dynamic variables that we can insert in the email body (or subject). User's first name or last name were specific for my use case, but having access to a variety of variable could be helpful. ... View more

"Analyse SQL" helped me understand some widget measure formulas and filters. I wanted to then experiment with it in Sisense's "SQL Runner", but that didn't work: the query is too large, and it uses strange names for tables and columns (aFactXwAaSaleXwAaorders for the table Fact_Sale_orders, and aCountryCode for the CountryCode column). It'd be helpful if you modified SQL Runner and/or Analyse SQL so that I can paste results, edit, and run them. The purpose to help me investigate questions such as "How does this filter affect my measure?" or "What does my colleague's horribly convoluted measure formula mean, why is it wrong, and how might I fix it?" or "Is my widget doing unexpected joins?". I'd like this as a tool for myself and to recommend to colleagues. ... View more

Windows Sisense currently has no way for us as administrators to control how much ram is being used by elasticubes. From looking at the community site, it appears that linux has a way to do this through data groups, but when consulting with support, I have been told to increase our resources, simplify our models, etc.   The big problems that we have observed at my company is that 1. Sisense seems to take up the resources it is given - when ram is increased, usage percentage stays at the same level 2. If something does go wrong and resources begin to get consumed, there are no guard rails in place to stop whatever incident is happening from taking down the whole server This second case has happened only a few times in the years we have had Sisense, but I don't like that I have no way to be proactive about these issues.  ...
