Coalesce in Query dramatically slows Elasticube build.

I have a coalesce in one my joins in my query and it is dramatically slowing the elasticube build. Anyone else experience? If so, do you have a better solution?

Hello @zach_myt,

Thank you for reaching out. I see your question hasn't gotten a response yet, so I'm asking internally to try and get you an answer.

Hi @zach_myt,

Since this is happening during the build, are you using a Custom Import Query? If so, this is outside Sisense as the query is being processed on the data source.
If you want to reduce the build time then you can pre-calculate it and then pull the data. That way Sisense doesn’t have to wait for the query to be computed.

I hope that helps. Please keep us posted.

Hi @zach_myt,

I just wanted to follow up with you to see if you still need help with this.

Hi @DRay I have removed the coalesce for now. The query is fine using either of the ID fields independently but the coalesce slows it for some reason.

Interesting. If you like, I can get the ball rolling on connecting you with a technical resource on our team to look into this with you. Would you like me to do that?
