Wiser Filter Widget

Has anyone been able to use the wiser filter widget?  we recently installed the Wiser filter widget plugin, but it has not been working. The filter does show up in the list of add ons when on the Admin tab in the UI. We are able to enable/disable the plugin without any errors/warnings/exceptions. However the dashboard does not display the Wiser filter. it shows an empty spot. One solution was to try to disable all other plugins and check if Wiser filter works but that has not worked either. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

That plugin hasnt been updated in 5 years. I never got it to work in my instance. You could solve this in another way, because a filter as widget is very user friendly. 

Free to use is the @rapidbisupport-plugin (https://www.sisense.com/marketplace/in-line-dropdown-filters-free-version). They also have a paid variant if you like it. 

You could also use @harikm007 's Blox to create a dropdown filter (https://www.binextlevel.com/post/blox-drop-down-with-all-selection)

@Ravid_PaldiTeam and his team at Paldi have created the Advanced Dashboard Filters. An addon we are using now and with which we are very happy with. Would recommend using this type of add-on (either of the premium variants), because it is very user and designer friendly.
