imagine a dimension has 1500 variables and someone wants to select 600 of them in a filter. Is there a way to avoid manually selecting each variable individually?

Hi @AlisterB ,

For the use case you mentioned it's possible to filter by :

Dimension text:

Dimension ranking:

Or filter dimensions variables by value:

With that in mind, the main problem arises when you have a large number of dimensions that you want to make available to viewers.

In this case, the user must "work hard" and scroll to find the filter.

Moreover, you might face performance issues when many filters are applied on a dashboard.

For this purpose, you can use Paldi's "Filters Catalog" which allows a viewer to select the filters he wants to use on the dashboard from a simple dropdown - using this plugin provides your users a true sense of true self service BI.
