It would be great to have settings that allow adjusting the limit of values in a Pivot Table, similar to the existing option for changing the maximum number of columns displayed. Currently, we can only adjust the maximum number of columns displayed in the Pivot Table configuration. This can be done via the Admin tab by navigating to Server & Hardware > System Management > Configuration. Currently, any report having a table widget is missing IDs in<td> and <tr> elements of the <table>. We are writing automation testing scripts for which we need to have unique ids for each cell. When the sisense user is deleted the email of this user is still in the recipients list for a report in the Report Manager. If the report Manager is configured to send the reports to external customers, the user who is no longer with the company will be receiving the reports with dashboard data as the reports for the external users are generated using the owner or an additional user. When we are building pivot tables, sometimes there is a need to sort things by the columns. If I want to show a pivot table with a Team Lead as the rows, Total Spend and Total Volume as the values, and Weeks as the the columns, I have no way to sort this to show the date in descending order and keep the table structure the way I want to see it. When using dependent filters and selecting new filter values this automatically resets all filter values already chosen.  Whilst this is desirable from a security perspective, not all models have security applied.  The proposition here is to have a toggle or similar that the designer/owner of the dashboard can use to turn this behavior on/off.  Thus the reset reasoning behind this can be maintained if required for that model or use case and the behavior can be turned off if non resetting is optimal for the use case needed. ... NOTE: This is based on a post I made in the "Help & How To" forum. It was recommended to me to make a post here, in the Product Feedback forum, about it. There should be a way for Sisense to display the currently-selected filter values directly on the dashboard. I know that users can see this by expanding the right-hand sidebar to see the Dashboard Filters, and it's also a display option when you export to PDF. However, these aren't always obvious or available to the intended audience for the dashboard. For example, if I have a dashboard that's setup with a dashboard-level filter for "Work Group", it would be nice if I could display - directly on the dashboard itself - what work group is currently being filtered down to. Also, some of the values can be unclear, especially for date filters that use colloquial language such as "This Year" or "Last Quarter". There should be some way of displaying the exact date ranges that are being filtered for. For example, if today is November 13th 2024, then the "Last Quarter" filter value would mean dates from July 1st 2024 through September 30th 2024. But after the new year, if I were to check the dashboard again on January 6th 2025, then the date range would instead be from October 1st 2024 through December 31st 2024. Currently, in both cases, it'll just still how as "Last Quarter" and it's up to the user to figure out what that means (which can be difficult if they're looking at a static printout from some unknown time in the past). Other time periods can also be ambiguous or prone to misunderstanding. For instance, it's common to see people assume "Last Week" means a rolling time period covering the last 7 days, rather than the prior calendar week. Hi, Working on a dashboard containing 3 pivot tables. Each have a lot of columns. (see print screen attached). In order to have a proper PDF, I need to turn the page format to A0 / landscape When exporting to PDF at the Dashboard level (from the pdf button top right), I access to a PDF setup, where I can choose the layout (landscape) and the paper format (A0), so that all the columns appears properly. In this screen, there is a Save button so that the PDF setup is saved for next time (see print screen) When exporting to pdf at a widget level, the same setup otions are available (landscape and A0), BUT THERE IS NO SAVE BUTTON. I have to redo this setup each time (see print screen). Could we have the the Save button on the widget / PDF option page, same as we have ar the dashboard / pdf option page please ? Thank you ... Currently, the Area Map widget only offers two map types: World and USA. This becomes problematic if your data is limited to a specific country (Indonesia, in my case), and you only want to display that country on the map. I've managed to filter for Indonesia using the following code: ...res.geoJson.features.filter(feature => feature.properties.name === 'Indonesia'), However, this approach leads to another issue: when the dashboard loads, the Indonesian area is too small, and I have to manually zoom in. I would greatly appreciate any code or method to set the widget to automatically zoom into the Indonesian region when displayed on the dashboard. ... The helm chart supplied with Sisense allows global annotation of all service accounts within the sisense namespace. For example I can annotate an AWS role that is able to be assumed by pods: helm upgrade sisense ${sisense_chart} --namespace sisense \ --reuse-values \ --set global.serviceAccountAnnotations."eks\.amazonaws\.com/role-arn"=${pod_role_arn} While this covers most of the pods by updating all the sisense-* service accounts in kubernetes the ec-build pod (the one that actually builds the elasticube) only uses the default service account in the sisense namespace. A workaround is to annotate the default service account: kubectl annotate serviceaccount default eks.amazonaws.com/role-arn=${pod_role_arn} --namespace sisense But it seems odd that the pod would a) assume the default service account when all other pods have service accounts explicitly defined for them and b) despite having gone to the trouble of wiring up global service account annotations in helm for them not to be applied at the final step of elasticube building. This specific use case is for supplying web identity tokens to a JDBC driver so that you can interact with AWS by using a specific OIDC assumed pod role, rather than using an EC2 role or worse, static credentials in a file or connection string. It would have been great if there was a quicker way to update the SSL certificates on the Sisense server without having to run the update install. There are clients who do not wish to provide internet connection on the server once Sisense install is complete. As I understand it, if Sisense was installed with internet connection on, then we need to have internet connection in order to re-run the installer successfully. So we will have to make a request to the client to provide internet connection again to run the update install. We use jump to dashboard to allow users to view a data table to give them context to the chart they are looking at. For large data sets, this can lead to millions of records. The issue comes up when users try to then export this table. It would be nice if there was a way to set a hard limit to the number of records returned in a table/table with aggregation. When users try to download too large of a table, it impacts server performance for everyone, and the only way to really limit the tables right now and still allow them to be filterable on all required fields is not efficient (rank filter on a semi-unique identifier using the max of a unique identifier). I am looking to place simple guard rails into how much data can be exported into one file, I am flexible as to where this option presents itself and how - either a count of max records or a file size works. Having an option to set the max number of records returned in this widget type also would work. I would be fine with this as an option buried in the configuration settings page or within the admin page itself. I just want the option present somewhere. ... View more

The Data Security tab's group/user assignment window currently has a max search limit of 20 results.   The "results" search limit should be configurable because we have approx. 50 groups that need to be assigned, & it is very difficult to find/assign/manage all of the groups when the search window does not return all of the appropriate results. ... Our users often unnecessarily/mistakenly create filters at the Widget level when, really, it may make better sense for that filter to be applied at the Dashboard level. Had a suggestion from a user yesterday to add a menu button for Widget filters that will move/convert the filter from the Widget layer to the Dashboard layer. When editing a cube or live data source, I'd like to be able to more quickly add another table.  Right now, you click on the  +DATA button at the top, and get presented with all the historical connections, etc. Instead, what if you add an "Add Table" button inside the Data Sources panel?: That is, under the triple dots in red, have a new option to quickly reuse that connection and add another table. When generating the WAT token, we need to pass the Sisense user ID in the 'sub' parameter. To obtain the user ID, we must repeatedly call the Sisense APIs, which can be inefficient. It would be beneficial if we could directly include the Sisense username or email in the 'sub' parameter, thereby avoiding unnecessary API calls to retrieve the Sisense user ID. There are many scenarios where a model contains data for many distinct groups, such as customers, and you want viewers to only have access to the data that pertains to their specific customer. This is easily implemented with row level security, when there is a data column that uniquely identifies each customer. But what if you have a requirement that certain types of viewers should see all columns of data per row, while others should not have access to certain columns? Here is an approach that can be implemented right out of the box in Sisense. The one prerequisite is that any table that contains sensitive data must have a column that uniquely identifies every row, i.e. a primary key column. For every table that contains sensitive data in certain columns, create a new table that contains the original table's primary key column, a binary "switch" column with a name like [Access Allowed] and a column for each of the sensitive columns. Remove the sensitive columns from the original table. Modify the import query to load only the non-sensitive columns in the original table. Modify the import query to load the new table with the primary key and sensitive columns of the original table twice, once with [Access Allowed] set to 1 and the second time with 0 and blank (or null) for all the sensitive columns. Associate the new table to the original table by primary key column Create a dimension table for secure access with the column [Access Allowed]. One row with value 0, one row with value 1. Associate the dimension table with the sensitive data table by the [Access Allowed] column. Set up a data security rule on this column, assigning the secure user group to value 1 and the general group to value 0 If there is a hierarchy greater than two levels of column-level data security, this model can be extended to create additional one-to-one related tables to the original table. ... There are some dashboards where we don't want people messing with the filters.  Or where filters aren't needed to be changed, and we want the maximum "real estate" available for the body of the dashboard. I know you can hide the left- and right-hand panes with script, but this really should be an option exposed in the dashboard designer UI, as a setting for that dashboard.
