Ability to sort the items of a filter by a secondary item. Currently. for days of the week, for example, they will naturally be displayed in alphabetical order. Instead of "Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun". Sisense is only capable of displaying it as "Fri, Mon, Sat, Sun, Thu, Tue, Wed".

Idea: usage analytics reports can tell what reports use a certain field? Filter by a certain field in the usage analytics report and you will see all dashboards using that field. It would also be beneficial to track table usage in dashboards too. Use Case: region will be renamed to region_usa in our sql query and this could potentially break dashboards. to be proactive, i would like to know what dashboards are currently using the field 'region' so that I can redirect them to the correct field, 'region_usa' once the sisense schema & sql has been updated.

Recently, we were trying to create a widget using the RPAVG function for a rolling 30-day average, which broke our connection to the live model while working (to an extent) on an elasticube. The function worked past the first 30 days on the elasticube, while the first thirty days were (SUM N )/ N. This formula works past those thirty days, but for the first value, for example, gives simply the first value. A new version of these functions would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of having to manually set the same format for each date type over and over, it would be nice if you could set defaults for each date type (Year, Quarter, Month, Week, Day) somewhere and have everything default to that with the ability to change away from the default if needed. This could be done in the same area we set First Day of Week and Fiscal Year for the server.

Currently the values that get displayed in a "text" based dashboard filter is sorted by default in ascending order. This is ok for most cases. But for certain cases (e.g. date as text) - we wish to showcase values in descending order.
Hence, the feature request for allowing sorting in dashboard filters.

For some reason when editing a Pivot for example you can get 3 options for sorting on the "rows" - DESC, ASC, and No Sort However when using the sort in the Pivot table itself - there is only DESC and ASC order. Could you please add the "No Sort" option to the widget too?

I think table and custom table usage should be added to the scope of usage analytics. I have large data sources that have been around for many years. Often dashboards are unused (which I can currently track with usage analytics) and can be deleted or archived. But the data that drives them is much harder to keep track of. I have no way of knowing which tables are used in dashboards and which ones could be removed. This is especially true for custom tables that eat up build time and might not be used at all.

In browsers, usually links can be right-clicked. You get a menu including "Open in new tab" and "Copy link". Some Sisense links block this behaviour: e.g. the list of dashboards and jump-to-dashboard links. It'd be nice to get it back. To be clear: I do not want every link to open in a new tab. That would be annoying. I just want the option to do so. For example, here's a link where the right-click does work:

It's not possible to create a dashboard filter using formulas. I could create a dashboard filter only with variables that are present in a data source. I am able to create a value in pivot table and then use it as widget filter, but it can't be done to other widgets that are not pivots.

Hello everyone, Since activating the "Export of V2" option, I've noticed that when I export widgets containing sub-totals, the sub-totals don't appear in the Excel export. It would be good to include the sub-totals in the export in order to have a faithful representation of the dahsboard.

Using the jumpToDashboard plugin, there is a feature enabled with flag "hideSharedDashboardsForNonOwner" that allow the owner of a dashboard to hide dashboards even if shared with other users. The owner is the only one who can see it. The problem of this option is that, when a dashboard is configured to be hidden, the only way the owner has to know this setting is to open the dashboard menu and check the flag status. As a result, it could happen that the owner doesn't have a clear overview of which of his dashboards are visible and which one are hidden to other users. It could be useful to show somehow to the owner, in the tile and list view, if a dashboard is hidden. One simple option is to set a value of opacity for hidden dashboard like "0.65" to distinguish them easily. Attached my implementation of this feature. It's based on 1.3.1 version of jumpToDashboard and adds this feature; it also fixes some issue I found with proxy base url set on the system (win and linux). There is a know bug in this feature (already in the base plugin version); the viewer see the real count of dashboards but then see just the dashboard that are not hidden (e.g.: 5 dashboards counted, but 3 tiles displayed). I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. Other softwares have the option of dragging and dropping any data into an area in the dashboard which will solve this issue. Hello, I would like to suggest adding custom number of characters for the search bar on left panel when search is performed. For example, search will start after typing 3 letters. It would also be great if that search would be asynchronous instead of stopping everything. Currently search is run after 1 character and with a big number of dashboards freezes whole application, sometimes causing browser to show alert that page is unresponsive.

As an admin, have an option at the top of a dashboard to be able to view it as another specific user. For example, if user John Smith is set under the data security on a cube to only have access to rows for a certain region, the ability to view a dashboard as John Smith would make checking user access very easy.

Please make the calendar heatmap widget work with jump to dashboards. Without it the widget is not very useful because users cannot click to see what is making up the data set for each day.

We have created many folders (and subfolders) to help us organize our dashboards. It is currently very cumbersome to share folder access and ownership, which must be done for every dashboard within the folders. It would be nice if there were an easy (and native) way to share access to a folder and every dashboard within it, or to change ownership of a folder.

When a user makes an edit to a report, they can click Publish Changes so that report with those edits are live for users to see. Our customers would like to have an undo button so that the edits made in the last push is reverted and the version prior to publishing changes is now the current version.

Sisense does not currently offer the ability to easily freeze the top row of a pivot table, similar to what most spreadsheet applications offer. Prior community questions on this topic (such as https://community.sisense.com/t5/build-analytics/freezing-the-header-row-for-a-pivot-table/td-p/3022) advise a workaround by manually disabling the Auto Height feature for the pivot table widget, then reducing the height of the pivot table until a widget-level scroll bar appears. This solution only works for a very specific use case, and losing the ability for the widget to dynamically resize when populated with different sizes of datasets and/or when applying dashboard-level filters makes it less tenable. For example, if a widget is manually resized so that the header is visible when scrolling for 50+ rows of data, the widget will stay the same height if a filter is applied that reduces the dataset to 15 rows. We'd like to see if there is a way to easily freeze the header row of a pivot table while preserving the ability for the widget to automatically resize based on the amount of data. Ideally this would be a checkbox or other easily accessible widget-level setting.
