Creating a Community Account 

  • How do I create a community account? 
    • Click the avatar in the upper right hand corner and select New User? Register Here
    • Complete the registration form and click Register to open your new community  account 

 

Profile Configurations

  • How do I add a bio? 
    • Click the avatar icon in the upper right hand corner
    • Select My Settings under your UserName 
    • Click the Personal tab followed by Personal Information 
    • Scroll to the Biography box 
    • What would you recommend including in your bio? 
      • Current Position 
      • Brief career summary
      • Areas of interest [especially related to Sisense] 
      • Hobbies outside of work 
  • What are community bookmarks? 
    • Enables you to easily store community content you plan on referencing again 
    • Your bookmarks can be found and managed on your profile page when logged in 
    • To create a bookmark, click the drop down arrow in the right hand corner of the content item [discussion, blog, or knowledge base article] and select Bookmark 

 

Content Search

  • How do I search for content? 
    • At the top of each page, a search toolbar is accessible within the header and will complete a search community wide] 
    • The search bar is dynamic and will product results as you type [this can take a few seconds to activate
    • If a result is not visible, press Enter and an Advanced Search page will appear with several options to filter the results 

 

Discussion Forums

  • How do I start a new discussion? 
    1. Open the applicable discussion board: 
    2. Click the yellow Start a Conversation button found next to the grey Labels box 
    3. Complete the form including selecting the applicable labels [this is a requirement] 
    4. Click Post after you have completed your entry 
    5. This will add your contribution to the discussion board 
    6. Consult our Posting Tips guide for additional recommendations 
  • How do I reply to a discussion? 
    • Navigate to the discussion of interest 
    • Select the yellow Reply button located at the end of the post you would like to reply to
    • Add your reply within the content box that appears
    • Please note that by click the “...” menu option you will open additional formatting options 
    • Click the yellow Reply button located below the reply content box to post your reply
  • How long should I expect for my new thread to receive a response? 
    • The Sisense Community Team is committed to responding to all threads within 48 hours in most cases, please note the following: 
      • The Community Team typically allows at least 24 hours for a community response 
      • The Community Team reserves the right to extend our 48 hours if deemed necessary especially if deeper inquiry is required 
  • How do I add kudos? 
    • On the left hand side at the bottom of the post of interest there will be a thumbs up button labeled kudos, click that button to add a kudos  
  • What are labels? 
    • They are content folders and can be used to filter content as well as to be kept up to date on certain areas of interest 
    • Labels are applied when content is being generated
    • Content can have multiple labels
    • Note: Labels are specific to each discussion forum, blog, and knowledge base 
    • To filter content: 
      • Click the label of interest
      • A feed will appear with content tagged with that label
    • To subscribe to a label: 
      • Click the label of interest
      • A prompt will appear at the top of the feed with the option to subscribe to the label
      • When subscribed, you will be updated via email each time new content with that label is added to the community 
  • How do I bookmark a discussion? 
    • To create a bookmark, click the drop down arrow in the right hand corner of the discussion and select Bookmark 
    • Your bookmarks can be found and managed on your profile page when logged in 
  • What if I see content that goes against our community guidelines? 
    • All community members agree to follow our Terms and Conditions  and Community Guidelines 
    • If you see a violation of our terms and guidelines, please flag the content by clicking the drop down area next to the content and selecting Report Inappropriate Content 
    • This will remove the content from the community and flag with our moderation team for processing

  • How do I subscribe to a blog? 
    • To subscribe to the Sisense Community Blog: 
      • Navigate to the Sisense Community Blog
      • Select Options [in the right hand corner above the blog feed] 
      • Click Subscribe
    • To subscribe to the Product Release Blog: 
      • Navigate to the Product Release Blog 
      • Select Options [in the right hand corner above the blog feed] 
      • Click Subscribe
  • How do I unsubscribe from a blog? 
    • Navigate to the applicable blog
    • Select Options [in the right hand corner above the blog feed] 
    • Click Unsubscribe 
  • How do I comment on a blog?  
    • Located at the bottom of the blog entry is a yellow Comment button 
    • Click this button and add your comment to the content box 
    • Please note that by click the “...” menu option you will open additional formatting options 
    • When completed, click the yellow Post Your Comment button
  • How do I bookmark a blog? 
    • Your bookmarks can be found and managed on your profile page when logged in 
    • To create a bookmark, click the drop down arrow in the right hand corner of the blog post and select Bookmark 
  • What if I see content that goes against our community guidelines? 
    • All community members agree to follow our Terms and Conditions [LINK] and Community Guidelines [LINK] 
    • If you see a violation of our terms and guidelines, please flag the content by clicking the drop down area next to the comment and selecting Report Inappropriate Content 
    • This will remove the content from the community and flag with our moderation team for processing 

Knowledge Base

  • How do I comment on a Knowledge Base article?
    •  Located at the bottom of the knowledge base article is a yellow Comment button 
    • Click this button and add your comment to the content box 
    • Please note that by click the “...” menu option you will open additional formatting options 
    • When completed, click the yellow Post Your Comment button
  • How do I bookmark Knowledge Base articles? 
    • Your bookmarks can be found and managed on your profile page [LINK] when logged in 
    • To create a bookmark, click the drop down arrow in the right hand corner of the knowledge base article and select Bookmark 
  • Can I email knowledge base articles to my teammates? 
    • Yes! Click the drop down arrow located next to the title of the article and select Email to a Friend 
  • What if I see content that goes against our community guidelines? 
    • All community members agree to follow our Terms and Conditions  and Community Guidelines 
    • If you see a violation of our terms and guidelines, please flag the content by clicking the drop down area next to the comment and selecting Report Inappropriate Content 
    • This will remove the content from the community and flag with our moderation team for processing
