Analyze SQL Query vs Visualize JAQL

Question:

What is the "Analyze SQL Query" section of the widget for? I can see its SQL however there are no recommendations or visualizations to show the execution or how to improve the query.

There used to be a visualizer for the JAQL but that seems to be removed. Does anyone know if it is being replaced?

Answer:

The distinction between the Analyze Widget Jaql and Analyze SQL Query lies in their displayed information. The 'Analyze Widget Jaql' provides a view of tables and query relationships With the Legend for each Column, whereas the 'Analyze SQL Query' reveals the SQL query generated by translating the JAQL into SQL.
This conversion is facilitated by the Sisense Analytical Engine.

Neither of these options can be modified directly, and there are many ways for optimizations such as Applying changes in the Data model.
The introduction of the " Analyze SQL Query " feature is linked to the new analytical engine.
Sisense Teams are actively working on developing a new Jaql version compatible with this new analytical engine which will work alongside the 'Analyze SQL Query'.

As a potential workaround (it might not work), Please try out the following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Admin Tab.
  2. Access Addons and disable the Jaqline Plugin.
  3. Re-enable the Jaqline Plugin (ensure that the processes are running and Completed).
  4. After enabling the plugin, refresh the widget and check if the Analyze Widget JAQL is now available.

  5. Click on the Analyze Widget Jaql in the Widget Menu Bar. In case it's Showing Blanc Page (Mainly not working for Bar/Column/Pie Charts), change the widget to Pivot table and try it again.
