It takes 5-10 seconds to load the Manage Cases page in the Support Portal. It takes even longer to open a specific case. A case can only be opened in the same window as the Manage Cases page. To go to another case requires going back to the Manage Cases page first and waiting for it to load again.  Please allow cases to be open in a new tab so that the Manage Cases page doesn't have to be reloaded so frequently, and many cases can be open and loaded concurrently rather than one at a time. The v1 Excel exporter included functionality that would export Pivot Table widgets to an XLSX file that was aggregated just like what users see inside of Sisense in their browser. We are now using the v2 Excel exporter and it no longer has this functionality, apparently by design. I think the v2 Excel exporter should also have aggregation functionality so that the XLSX export for Pivot Tables is just like what users were seeing with the v1 exporter. We find our clients sometimes using the widget information (i) button to provide their users with context for a widget. Their users sometimes click the button in search of information even when the designers haven't added any text to the widget information button. I want to also carry any Drill Into breadcrumbs. ---Example / use case--- I right-click on a FieldA row in my PivotTable and drill it down to FieldB. Then I click on a number to Jump To Dashboard. The destination filters for the FieldB row I clicked on, but it doesn't filter FieldA. That's fine when FieldB.value occurs only as a child of FieldA.value. But some of my FieldB items are repeated in several FieldA items. For example: Many cities have a "Main Street". I right-click and drill-down on New York's street names. Then I click on data for Main Street to jump. The destination dashboard will show data for every Main Street in every city, instead of just New York's. --- Can you make JTD respect such a drill-down? --- PS: I also made a request about making Drill create dashboard filters. Make it an optional, per-widget setting. ---Details:--- Sometimes I build a dashboard with a "main" widget for the user to explore, plus a few indicator widgets above it. It'd be nice if, when the user drills on the main widget, their choices were applied to the dashboard filters. That way, my indicators would reflect what they've drilled into. But that should be an option in the widget settings; other times I have a dashboard with several major widgets and drilling into one should not filter the others. When the user un-drills (clicks the cross or a breadcrumb to return to the overview), that should automatically remove the associated dashboard filter. Windows Sisense currently has no way for us as administrators to control how much ram is being used by elasticubes. From looking at the community site, it appears that linux has a way to do this through data groups, but when consulting with support, I have been told to increase our resources, simplify our models, etc.   The big problems that we have observed at my company is that 1. Sisense seems to take up the resources it is given - when ram is increased, usage percentage stays at the same level 2. If something does go wrong and resources begin to get consumed, there are no guard rails in place to stop whatever incident is happening from taking down the whole server This second case has happened only a few times in the years we have had Sisense, but I don't like that I have no way to be proactive about these issues.  ... When replacing a server, or testing an upgrade, we often find our clients taking a backup of their Sisense database and restoring it to another server. After updating the server identity in the mongodb, it's pretty much ready to go. However, use dashboards all reference the old server and have to be updated. This is a manual process that the users themselves one dashboard and data source at time. An administrator cannot easily do that work on their behalf. Acknowledging that there is a replace_datasource API call that allows you to apply a new server and data source to a single dashboard, I would love an easier a way to update just the server across all dashboards. ... Creating security rules within the Data Security menu for Elasticubes only allows you to assign users access to values to that are already in your data. If I am creating a rules for user visibility of e.g. individual 'store references' and a new store with reference '1414' is added, I can't create a rule for store 1414 unless it is already in my data. Could there be an option to manually specify the value, rather than having to select a pre-existing value? (I am aware this possible to add via the REST API, but this is a bit fiddly for frequent small edits). ... View more

Opening a dashboard which leads to a temporary error will redirect the user away from the dashboard URL to a 'dedicated' error page, e.g. 'https://xxxxxxx.sisense.com/app/main/error?status=404'. If this is a temporary error and the user refreshes this page they will never return to their intended destination - they are stuck on the error page forever. This causes confusion for our clients. Is there a way to change the way errors work so that I'm not redirected to a 'dedicated' error page and instead I can refresh the page and see my intended dashboard once the error is resolved? ... It would be really useful to have a hierarchy filter displaying parent-child relationship. Currently when we create a filter, it just displays all the members in the entity.  If there is a relationship between the members its not possible to identify it directly in 1 filter, the only way around is create dependent filters. But that too would get tedious, as everytime we have go through multiple filters to see the members in each sub filter. Example: If there is a relationship as below: In this case, the table has the name and parent name as 2 separate columns. So the filter could display members as below in a tree format which can be collapsed or expanded, such that there is a check box next to the member and user can select the individual members, or a group of members. Our clients find that the sorting option is not available in Pivot widget, but it's available in Table widget; and on the other hand, we have available the "Drill into" and "Jump To Dashboard" features in Pivot widget, but it's not available in Table widget. That is why I suggest that we should have the feature to "Drill into" and "Jump To Dashboard" in Pivot widget, because that way we'll have all the functionalities needed to sort, drill into and jump to other dashboards in this Pivot widget. I've been trailing the Report Manager add-on and was disappointed to see that the 'Event Based' option for triggering reports did not allow for Pulse Alerts to be used as an Event. It seems the current workaround is to use a tool like Zapier (so the pulse goes out to Zapier via webhook, which then creates the Event and goes back into Sisense, causing the report to be sent. This seems convoluted and I would have thought being able to directly integrate Pulses to trigger Reports seems like a natural fit. ... View more

Many of our clients experienced a defect in the Expand Pivot on PDF add-on in which the email body of their dashboard subscriptions included the full Pivot output... instead of the full pivot output being limited to the PDF attachment. With that defect in place for a year, a number of our clients have voiced dismay since the defect was corrected hoping that the defect will come back as a feature.  I would image that if enabled as a feature, that Embedded in Email could be unchecked to avoid including large pivot output in the email body. I imagine that users could understand their data well enough to understand whether a dashboard pivot widget would result in pages of output or not, and would be able to make the decision in the share settings for whether or not to Embed in Email or just Attach PDF or both.   ... Hello, Currently the number of queries running in parallel during an EC build is set at the server level. With setting "Build / Base Table Max Threads" (4 by default). The optimised number of simultaneous queries is very much dependant on the context of the EC. For instance, an EC with 4 differents date source is more likely to accept a high number of simultaneous queries (spread over the 4 data sources), than an EC with only one data source. Therefore, I would like to suggest to make this setting per cube instead of at the server level. An alternative would be to have this setting at the Data Group level. Upon receiving the warning "Maximum number of series (50) exceeded", the warning does not reappear with a widget, dashboard, or page refresh. Instead, a filter change is required in order to trigger it again. IMO the warning should persist with refreshes and be visible every time due to the impact of the limitation being exceed - data is literally missing from the widget and the widget does not reflect the data set expected by the user.  To that end of being clear about the impact of having more series than the limitation allows, the warning would be best reworded to indicate that impact and avoid users making decisions on an uncontrolled subset of data. For example, "Results limited to maximum number of series (50)..." or "Data limited..." This limitation should also be documented in Sisense documentation, but is not currently. ... View more
