Question: I want to retrieve the data within the widget using the REST API. I also want to add filters while doing so.
Solution: You can do that by using our querying language called JAQL (used by our client-side application to query Elasticubes). There are several ways of obtaining the underlying JAQL from a widget, and once you're familiar with the syntax you can easily modify it to suit your needs.
In any case, both JAQL and SQL queries have "runners" (JAQLrunner and SQLrunner) but also underlying API endpoints.
