Sisense is starting off the new year strong!

This release is chock full of improvements and extended capabilities, so be sure to check out the accompanying 3-minute video to make sure you are taking advantage of all the latest improvements.

Below is a brief explanation of the January release:

  • Live models now support two live connectors: SQL server and Azure Synapse, which will give users the improvements and the optimization of the Analytical Engine while improving performance on average by 20%.
  • Creating a JDBC connector to Elasticube models is now more flexible and customizable for admins.
  • Data modelers now have the ability to control import behavior such as overwriting, merging new, merging old, or skipping imports.
  • Build Retry configuration has been released in Elasticube, which will automatically retry a build after a build failure without manual user involvement. With the extended parameters, users can decide on the number of build retries and the time between retry attempts.
  • The ability to rename drill hierarchies is back!
  • Lastly, explanations now support indicator widgets which will improve error handling and help users find explanations for phenomena in their data.

For more information on how each feature in the January release is implemented, check out the 3-minute video below:

We hope these updates and features make your work with Sisense faster and more efficient.

How does one configure Build Retry? I searched everywhere but couldn't find the parameters or option to enable. This is definitely going to save me time!

Hello @Milan , assuming you've upgraded to L2023.1 (or later, if you're reading this from the future), getting to this setting is done through the Admin Panel.

  1. Click on System Management
  2. Then you'll want to click the Sisense logo on the top left 5 times
  3. You'll end up with a large menu on the left hand side of the screen, click Build and then you'll see the parameters on the right hand side of the screen.  I've included a screenshot below.

I've logged this with our documentation team so that the steps are spelled out more clearly within our admin documentation.  For the time being, you can refer to these steps!
