1. View all history of builds and its corresponding logs from the cubes. Because, I could not see the last build failure reason, if another build got started. I need to wait for another build to complete or fail. 2. View all history of changes and provide a way to revert as in Google docs for both the cubes and dashboards. Some times, if something went wrong, we should just be able to revert to the previous version and continue from there. 3. Provide a way to view the list of cubes in the queue waiting for the build. Also, allow remove or disable them for a period or rearrange the queue to build. This will help in prioritizing something manual on demand. 4. If a cube build fails due to the memory or other configurations issue, provide suggestions like what has to be changed and based on what before triggering another build. 5. Provide a page to derive the suggested the configurations like memory, cpu, timeouts etc by collecting details like 1. Number of cubes, 2. average cube size, max cube size, min cube size, or number of cubes by size range say <5g, <10G, <20G, <40G etc.., 3. Frequency of the build per cube etc.. 6. Provide a page to view all the slow running dashboards, slow running queries and some suggestions to improve it. 7. Some times, if a dashboard got changed and republished, it is not getting applied to all the users. Provide a way to view the version of the dashboard the user may view. 8. Between builds, if there is not much change in the data, Sisense build should go faster. Provide a way like one common place to build each table from other sources individually and keep it ready. From there, if we build say functional cubes, it should build in flashing fast using the locally stored data. I see the cubes are pulling the data faster from relational db but very slow from mongodb. Now, if we are pulling data from another sisense cube or from the source no big performance difference. 9. Also, I am not sure, if we are restarting the nodes, should we necessarily mark the cubes in queue as failed, instead adding back to the queue as it was before the restart and just marking the actual cube got failed should be good enough. While it is possible to Lock a filter so that users can't change it, sometimes they get confused by the presence of that filter and want to try to change it, which results in a support call to us.  There could also be times when the filter criteria itself is sensitive. We should be able to right-click on a filter and choose "Hide from Viewers". This would also have the benefit of cleaning up the user interface a bit, so viewers don't have to wade through criteria that they can't control anyway. ... View more

We produce pre-built dashboards for our customers.  They can build their own as well.  Often, they will start with one of our pre-built dashboards and modify to their needs. Allow widget designers to turn off the display of the Grand Totals calculation for certain columns in a pivot table. Situations exist for which it is highly beneficial to display the Grand Total of a select few columns in a pivot table, and not to show others as they can be misleading or distract from the primary purpose of the pivot table. Hi, For security reasons, one of the requirements we have seen in our customers are reltaed to the ablity to have more customized Admin roles. Some customers have different departments, that are responsible to manage the administration of some features independently. It's not fixed just with the Data Admin and the Admin. For example, some area needs to manage the Users and groups, but other area needs to manage the look&feel and white labeling, feature management... Now, an admin is a root user. When adding a measure to a widget, an aggregation method is automatically applied. The Dashboard Designer can choose the aggregation method via a menu, but a regular click will always choose a predetermined system-wide defauilt (distinct count or sum). In some cases, the aggregation applied is not relevant and could lead to invalid results. I would like to see a feature that allows a Data Designer, when designing the data model, to define the default aggregation for a column. Instead of having to manually set the same format for each date type over and over, it would be nice if you could set defaults for each date type (Year, Quarter, Month, Week, Day) somewhere and have everything default to that with the ability to change away from the default if needed.  This could be done in the same area we set First Day of Week and Fiscal Year for the server. ... In browsers, usually links can be right-clicked. You get a menu including "Open in new tab" and "Copy link". Some Sisense links block this behaviour: e.g. the list of dashboards and jump-to-dashboard links. It'd be nice to get it back. To be clear: I do not want every link to open in a new tab. It's not possible to create a dashboard filter using formulas. I could create a dashboard filter only with variables that are present in a data source. I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. Custom Code is currently disabled in a multi-tenant environment, which is an odd thing to disable as it is among the many features that make Sisense so great because of the ability to manipulate the data within Sisense and part of the Tranform stage of ETL processes.  I am a Tenant Admin in my multi-tenant environment and I can click on Custom Code but I am not able to access the jupyter notebook environment. This creates a lot of confusion for clients who have multi-tenant environments and also takes a feature that the other clients have in single-tenant environments.  Sisense should seriously consider making this a permanent feature in all environments because it is so useful.  ... The v1 Excel exporter included functionality that would export Pivot Table widgets to an XLSX file that was aggregated just like what users see inside of Sisense in their browser. We are now using the v2 Excel exporter and it no longer has this functionality, apparently by design. I think the v2 Excel exporter should also have aggregation functionality so that the XLSX export for Pivot Tables is just like what users were seeing with the v1 exporter. Can we get a "refresh schema for all tables" button? Reason: Our tables are usually "Select * From AnalyticsSchema.ViewName". We control which fields to return by editing the view, not the Sisense table definition. When a field gets added/removed/changed, we need to refresh schema. That's fine to do manually as you're working on that datamodel+views, but we need to refresh all when: We copy a datamodel to a different server. We need to refresh schema at least to double-check that the views are as expected on the new server. (If any fields have changed, then I'll need to go fix any widgets using those fields, or, more likely, update the view to include them.) A view gets edited, perhaps for a different datamodel, and my datamodel hasn't been updated.  I edit several views and want to refresh schema for all those Sisense tables. If I've changed used fields then I'll need to go into each table manually anyway so it doesn't matter, but I've had a case where I've removed unused fields from several views and now I need to click refresh schema on every table individually. ... Within dashboards, the only way to know currently if there is a filter on a widget is to open that widget. This is VERY time consuming if there are multiple widgets within a dashboard (we sometimes have up to 10). Please add an icon at the top of widgets (near the pencil would be great). If the icon is grey, no widget level filter is set. If the icon is colored in, a filter is set. If a filter is set, mousing over the icon should return a preview of what the filter is. ... View more

The email schedules have a limitation when the file used in attachment is large in size. Most email servers have a 25mb max limit.  It would be really helpful, if there was an option to include a downloadable link in the email. When a user schedules an email, with the link option, the attachment is downloaded to a temporary path and the link to that path is provided in the email. Clicking on the link should download the file from the temporary path which can be an s3 bucket or from some server. We can keep a retention policy of few days for the files. ... View more

Hi, Whenever an user with owner access is deleted, all the dasboard created by him are getting deleted. Also, those dashboards shared with others are also deleted. This looks like a critical issue, since the dashboard will be shared among other users, they won't be able to see any dashboard if the user gets deleted.
