In browsers, usually links can be right-clicked. You get a menu including "Open in new tab" and "Copy link". Some Sisense links block this behaviour: e.g. the list of dashboards and jump-to-dashboard links. It'd be nice to get it back. To be clear: I do not want every link to open in a new tab. It's not possible to create a dashboard filter using formulas. I could create a dashboard filter only with variables that are present in a data source. I am able to create a value in pivot table and then use it as widget filter, but it can't be done to other widgets that are not pivots. ... View more

The email schedules have a limitation when the file used in attachment is large in size. Most email servers have a 25mb max limit.  It would be really helpful, if there was an option to include a downloadable link in the email. When a user schedules an email, with the link option, the attachment is downloaded to a temporary path and the link to that path is provided in the email. Clicking on the link should download the file from the temporary path which can be an s3 bucket or from some server. We can keep a retention policy of few days for the files. ... View more

Hi, Whenever an user with owner access is deleted, all the dasboard created by him are getting deleted. Also, those dashboards shared with others are also deleted. This looks like a critical issue, since the dashboard will be shared among other users, they won't be able to see any dashboard if the user gets deleted. When adding a dependent filter, the only [available] lock option is a group lock. It is more useful having the ability to lock the primary filter but allow for dependent filtering. For example, if I lock an audit title, I want to retain the ability to filter specific question(s) within the audit. If both are locked as a group, I have to ensure end users know how to filter through the widget, which can be difficult if the full text of the question does not display or the user is not proficient. ... Currently sorting of dimensions/categories/series is by Ascending and Descending only.  There are times when such data points need to be sorted in a non alphanumeric manner.  For example, Critical, High, Medium, Low is the desired sort, but this appears as Critical, High, Low, Medium or Medium, Low, High, Critical which looks sub optimal to the user.  A workaround is to add a number prefix via modelling, again this is less than ideal for the user, as is a script to update the displayed values to remove the prefix.  As is possible with other BI Tools, there should be an option for the Designer to configure the sort.  There are various community plugins and scripts that do this on an explicit per widget basis, however these are prone to fail/break and aren't guaranteed or supported through version upgrades.  This should be a part of core application functionality. ... We have a client who really wants to leverage email preview (rather than or in addition attached PDF) to send important metrics to their leadership team.  However, most of their reports do not fully display because the preview only uses portrait mode. When adding a measure to a widget, an aggregation method is automatically applied. The Dashboard Designer can choose the aggregation method via a menu, but a regular click will always choose a predetermined system-wide defauilt (distinct count or sum). In some cases, the aggregation applied is not relevant and could lead to invalid results. I would like to see a feature that allows a Data Designer, when designing the data model, to define the default aggregation for a column. A Data Designer has the knowledge of the data model and what aggregation is best used for it. This ability would assist Dashboard Designers in correctly using the model. ... View more

Using the jumpToDashboard plugin, there is a feature enabled with flag "hideSharedDashboardsForNonOwner" that allow the owner of a dashboard to hide dashboards even if shared with other users. The owner is the only one who can see it. The problem of this option is that, when a dashboard is configured to be hidden, the only way the owner has to know this setting is to open the dashboard menu and check the flag status. As a result, it could happen that the owner doesn't have a clear overview of which of his dashboards are visible and which one are hidden to other users. It could be useful to show somehow to the owner, in the tile and list view, if a dashboard is hidden. One simple option is to set a value of opacity for hidden dashboard like "0.65" to distinguish them easily. Attached my implementation of this feature. It's based on 1.3.1 version of jumpToDashboard and adds this feature; it also fixes some issue I found with proxy base url set on the system (win and linux). There is a know bug in this feature (already in the base plugin version); the viewer see the real count of dashboards but then see just the dashboard that are not hidden (e.g.: 5 dashboards counted, but 3 tiles displayed). I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. Within dashboards, the only way to know currently if there is a filter on a widget is to open that widget. This is VERY time consuming if there are multiple widgets within a dashboard (we sometimes have up to 10). Please add an icon at the top of widgets (near the pencil would be great). If the icon is grey, no widget level filter is set. If the icon is colored in, a filter is set. If a filter is set, mousing over the icon should return a preview of what the filter is. ... View more

We are a multi-tenant software provider and we embed and white label Sisense.  In our setup, we have 2 models.  Model 1 is used by Engineering to create our pre-built dashboards, where we share these with specific groups we've set up so that all of our customers see our pre-built "out of the box" dashboards The second model is what we expose to our Premium users so that they can create their own custom dashboards.   There are times when our customers will create a new, custom dashboard with the second model.  These users sometimes share their dashboard very broadly.  When this happens, there are certain users that wish to remove themselves from the share.  Perhaps they don't have row-level security to see anything.  Perhaps they have changed roles or simply do not use that dashboard. Note that we do not want to allow customers to remove themselves from our pre-built shared dashboards, as this could cause support confusion as to why our analytics solution is enabled but a user doesn't see "all of the dashboards".   With the above noted, we would like a configurable means to show/hide a "leave shared dashboard" dashboard option, based on the model with which a dashboard is associated.  This will ensure that users cannot remove themselves from our pre-built dashboards (we would hide on our model) yet allow them to remove themselves from custom dashboards that were shared with them (we would show on model 2 for self-authoring) When a user leaves a shared dashboard, there should also be configuration options to alert the owner of the dashboard via email.  This email should be capable of white labeling.  It should include dashboard name, who left, and when.  Should there be links to the dashboard in the email, there must be a way to disable hyperlinks in the email. ... When utilising the Fiscal Year functionality, it is frustrating that there is no option to display the calendar year as a formatting option. We are based in Australia and our Fiscal Year starts in July, so our 2023/2024 Fiscal Year (called 2024) runs from July 2023 to June 2024. If I create a simple pivot with our Date, Year (Calendar Year formula) and Fiscal Year (formula in format YYYY/YYYY), then you can see that the date is actually distorted.  There is no way to display that this date actually falls in 2023, which is the case for the first two records in the below pivot. Applying a filter with a date range handles this correctly, but it is confusing for our Finance department as to what date this is referring to. I've connected with Sisense support and they've provided a solution for a Date Display Field (thanks @AssafHanina) which does solve the issue, but then we need to have complicated rules for dashboard designers to use X field on their Dashboards but Y fields on filters, etc. I feel like an additional date format of "cy" for Calendar Year would solve this issue from the display side and make things much simpler.  Some logic already exists for "yp" for the previous year, this would be very useful for our designers to have this additional option and to keep the date as one field rather than needing a second. Hello, Currently, when we want to add a recipient to a new dashboard schedule, the dashboard has to be previously shared with the recipient. If it isn't, the recipient doesn't show up in the autocompletion list (emails - users name). In that case you need firstly to go back to the dashboard, share it with the recipient, come back to ReportManager and finally, add the recipient to the new schedule. This is confusing to our users who in such case consider this as a bug. => New behaviour wished :  When you add a recipient to a ReportManager schedule it automatically shares the dashboard with him. Which makes sense since if you want to send a dashboard to a user, it implies you want to share it with him. ... View more
