Add the ability to adjust the BaseTableMaxThreads at the Data Group level. This will allow for "right sizing" memory allocation that is consumed during the build process.  For example, I have low priority elasticubes residing in the default data group. High priority elasticubes reside in a "High Priority" data group with custom settings for "Stop When Idle", RAM, etc. Currently, our environment is configured to load 3 base tables concurrently (BaseTableMaxThreads  = 3). This setting impacts both high and low priority data groups. I want to be able to set my low priority data group to only load one table at a time (BaseTableMaxThreads  = 1) to reduce memory consumption on the server during builds. I want my high priority data group to continue loading 3 tables at a time. The trade off is the default data group will load data slower but will consume less memory/CPU during builds, freeing up resources for the high priority data group. ... View more

Currently the way the Sisense creates its query for dashboards, is it creates a common table expression for each entity created in the data model. Then applies the date filter after the join between the CTE.  During this process, it looks like its scanning the entire table of the CTE, which can be problematic if the underlying table used in the CTE is really large.  It will be better if the filter for dates can be applied within the CTE for such large tables, thus avoiding large table scans and help load the report faster. It is currently possible to add a second axis, but we would like to expand this capability to have more axes on a chart or line chart with Compose SDK. Data visualizations are becoming more advanced and to match our competitors, we would like to have this capability to build a chart where users can select and display multiple measures on one chart. As admin, I can get other people's dashboards using the /dashboards/admin endpoint. However, the information returned is limited: I can't get a .dash file or widget objects. I want to use my admin rights on the /dashboards/{id}/export/dash endpoint to download every dashboard, even ones that haven't been shared with me. Perhaps this could be generalised to other endpoints that limit based on dashboard permissions or other permissions: If as admin I can grant myself access to an object through the UI, then I should be able to set a flag in my API calls to circumvent these restrictions. ... Our users often ask about concatenating strings contained in two separate columns as a calculated column in pivot tables. Currently, the Area Map widget only offers two map types: World and USA. This becomes problematic if your data is limited to a specific country (Indonesia, in my case), and you only want to display that country on the map. Currently, dynamicElastiCube supports multi-model dashboards by indicating in the config at a widget level which data source to point to. However, there is no setting to do the same for dashboard filters. Thus, all dashboard filters will point to the "primary" elasticube when routing. Hi, Working on a dashboard containing 3 pivot tables. Each have a lot of columns. (see print screen attached). In order to have a proper PDF, I need to turn the page format to A0 / landscape When exporting to PDF at the Dashboard level (from the pdf button top right), I access to a PDF setup, where I can choose the layout (landscape) and the paper format (A0), so that all the columns appears properly. In this screen, there is a Save button so that the PDF setup is saved for next time (see print screen) When exporting to pdf at a widget level, the same setup otions are available (landscape and A0), BUT THERE IS NO SAVE BUTTON. I have to redo this setup each time (see print screen). Could we have the the Save button on the widget / PDF option page, same as we have ar the dashboard / pdf option page please ? Thank you ... The helm chart supplied with Sisense allows global annotation of all service accounts within the sisense namespace. For example I can annotate an AWS role that is able to be assumed by pods: helm upgrade sisense ${sisense_chart} --namespace sisense \ --reuse-values \ --set global.serviceAccountAnnotations."eks\.amazonaws\.com/role-arn"=${pod_role_arn} While this covers most of the pods by updating all the sisense-* service accounts in kubernetes the ec-build pod (the one that actually builds the elasticube) only uses the default service account in the sisense namespace. A workaround is to annotate the default service account: kubectl annotate serviceaccount default eks.amazonaws.com/role-arn=${pod_role_arn} --namespace sisense But it seems odd that the pod would a) assume the default service account when all other pods have service accounts explicitly defined for them and b) despite having gone to the trouble of wiring up global service account annotations in helm for them not to be applied at the final step of elasticube building. This specific use case is for supplying web identity tokens to a JDBC driver so that you can interact with AWS by using a specific OIDC assumed pod role, rather than using an EC2 role or worse, static credentials in a file or connection string. Similar to widow-orphan control of Paragraph page breaks in MS Word... it would be nice to have this in pivot tables too. That is, let's say the existing rows/subtotals in a pivot table take up 20 out of the "rows per page" value of 25.  If the next sub-section to display is going to take 3 rows, great, show that section.  But if the next sub-section is going to show 10 items, it means the subsection/subtotal will be split across two pages.  This is hard to remembe/digest/use when interacting with the dashboard.  With widow-orphan control, it would do a page break "early" before showing that next subsection of 10 items. ... We disabled the new Simply Ask option in the Sisense configuration but it's still showing as a disabled option when you click a dashboard's context menu. We submitted this as a defect but were told that it's "by design". It's by design to show an option that's been disabled? Hi, We are having several issues when dealing with Elasticube Builds. We can now schedule the build (both UI and REST API), but we have no tool to monitor and control this key functionality. What's the history of the builds for a cube? When can we see the whole picture of the time each build for each cube happens to optimize resources and find concurrent builds in time? Now we can just see the last build log, as an isolated entity. We cannot monitor all the builds as a whole, to see the whole picture of all the builds (when it happened, how many time it got, etc.).
