It would be really useful to have a hierarchy filter displaying parent-child relationship. Currently when we create a filter, it just displays all the members in the entity.  If there is a relationship between the members its not possible to identify it directly in 1 filter, the only way around is create dependent filters. But that too would get tedious, as everytime we have go through multiple filters to see the members in each sub filter. Example: If there is a relationship as below: In this case, the table has the name and parent name as 2 separate columns. So the filter could display members as below in a tree format which can be collapsed or expanded, such that there is a check box next to the member and user can select the individual members, or a group of members. I've been trailing the Report Manager add-on and was disappointed to see that the 'Event Based' option for triggering reports did not allow for Pulse Alerts to be used as an Event. It seems the current workaround is to use a tool like Zapier (so the pulse goes out to Zapier via webhook, which then creates the Event and goes back into Sisense, causing the report to be sent. This seems convoluted and I would have thought being able to directly integrate Pulses to trigger Reports seems like a natural fit. ... View more

Many of our clients experienced a defect in the Expand Pivot on PDF add-on in which the email body of their dashboard subscriptions included the full Pivot output... instead of the full pivot output being limited to the PDF attachment. With that defect in place for a year, a number of our clients have voiced dismay since the defect was corrected hoping that the defect will come back as a feature.  I would image that if enabled as a feature, that Embedded in Email could be unchecked to avoid including large pivot output in the email body. I imagine that users could understand their data well enough to understand whether a dashboard pivot widget would result in pages of output or not, and would be able to make the decision in the share settings for whether or not to Embed in Email or just Attach PDF or both.   ... This idea aims to help on-premises installations or live connections to better control load. The scenario: we have a big amount of users using the Report Manager plug-in, and we cannot limit the number of reports they can create or even the minimum periodicity for their schedules. Currently any user will be able to create a big number of reports, and those reports in a worst case scenario could be sent every hour. It could case a high usage of server resources. It is possible to setup the number of concurrent reports that will be processed, but depending on the number of reports it could cause bottlenecks and big deliver delays. The idea: adding some new 'admin' settings to Report Manager plug-in: - Maximum number of reports per user: defines the maximum number of reports a unique user can create. We could use 0 for unlimited (current behavior). - Maximum number of reports per user group: defines the maximum number of reports a user group can create. Same ideia as the above, but related to user groups. It could be a unique setting for any user group, or maybe a map with specific limits for each user group. - Minimum periodicity for scheduling: currently Report Manager offers the hours, days, week and months options. The email schedules have a limitation when the file used in attachment is large in size. Most email servers have a 25mb max limit.  It would be really helpful, if there was an option to include a downloadable link in the email. When a user schedules an email, with the link option, the attachment is downloaded to a temporary path and the link to that path is provided in the email. A while back the JTD didn't pick up measured values properly and we configured our dashboards so that the measured value filters were not relevant to the jump. We have some situations where there are conflicting filters with-in the measure (e.g. comparing different things as a numerator and denominator). Can you add a widget config option to ignore measured value filters? It would require adding an item in config and then adding an if statement to the filtersHelperService.js in the getMeasuredValueFilters like if(config.ignoreMeasureFilter) return [] ; around line 560. Sharing and emailing out dashboards currently have a time zone setting where a user could specify when a dashboard should be emailed out in a specific time zone. Hello, Currently, when we want to add a recipient to a new dashboard schedule, the dashboard has to be previously shared with the recipient. If it isn't, the recipient doesn't show up in the autocompletion list (emails - users name). In that case you need firstly to go back to the dashboard, share it with the recipient, come back to ReportManager and finally, add the recipient to the new schedule. This is confusing to our users who in such case consider this as a bug. => New behaviour wished :  When you add a recipient to a ReportManager schedule it automatically shares the dashboard with him. When login as Admin, under ReportManager page, there is a setting button (the wheel at the top right side) that allow to customize the user UI experience. i.e. toggle in/off options : - archiving - priority - event based - csv export ... This is a request to enhance this feature in community thread of the same title. This is useful because it allows users to see all the available dimension for a particular list of filters even if there are no facts for it. I understand that we can also use this community thread; however, this is only limited to 1 dimension. However, right now, it does not work when [Columns] field are added into pivot table.
