While downloading a large csv/excel file (over several hundreds mb file) from the widget, there would be a long delay of couple minutes before the browser indicates the file has been downloaded. During this time, the user has no indication if the request to download is in process or has failed. In addition to not being able type in dates with the Calendar item in the date filter (I submitted that as a separate idea to be able to type in dates), the general date selecting user experience is quite cumbersome.  It's hard to write this out and much easier to show.  But the short story is that it is difficult to select the dates on the first try.  A pretty typical interaction with the calendar component goes something like this: Open the filter Select Calendar Pick the start date Perform however many clicks it takes to get to the date you need (sometimes this can take a few clicks if you are going back a few years/months) At this point you think you have selected the start date Now, move your cursor to go select the end date At this point, the start date loses your initial selection.  I think this happens 90% of the time Sometimes the issue is that the start date gets set to the new end date Sometimes it resets before you even get to the start date Sometimes it goes back "Select" like you never picked a date This behavior is quite frustrating.  I have experienced it quite a bit myself and customers have complained.  I hope there is something that can be done to improve it. ... Current State: As of now Sisense supports adding of pulse alerts only for select chart types, like, Indicator, Area, Line, Bar and Column. Expected State: Sisense shall allow rest of the chart types as well to add pulse alerts. It is observed in other competitive products to be available for all the chart types. Current state - You can only use color conditional formatting on numerics in the value section of a pivot table.  But it would be nice if you could also apply color formatting on text.   An example of this would be green on the value 'Confident', orange on the word 'At Risk' and red on the word 'Not Possible'. Currently the way the Sisense creates its query for dashboards, is it creates a common table expression for each entity created in the data model. Then applies the date filter after the join between the CTE.  During this process, it looks like its scanning the entire table of the CTE, which can be problematic if the underlying table used in the CTE is really large.  It will be better if the filter for dates can be applied within the CTE for such large tables, thus avoiding large table scans and help load the report faster. It is currently possible to add a second axis, but we would like to expand this capability to have more axes on a chart or line chart with Compose SDK. Data visualizations are becoming more advanced and to match our competitors, we would like to have this capability to build a chart where users can select and display multiple measures on one chart. When using Starred Filters, end uses can create their own filter and save the selection for repeat use. However, any Starred Filter created will be visible to all users regardless of their Group or Parameter assignment. This is because these items are stored in the Data Browser as additional elements linked only to the data source and not to a user or group. As a result, this causes confusion, lack of control where one end users Starred Filters can be removed by another and concerns about data security. Appreciate utilising multitenancy would be a solution, however, this is not possible in all circumstances and requires a significant amount of additional administration.  I am recommending a functionality change to control / limit the visibility of Starred Filters to the User or Group that created them.  ... Our users often ask about concatenating strings contained in two separate columns as a calculated column in pivot tables. Although this is possible at the data model layer, it is not possible at the dashboard layer. We do not expose data model design and administration to our end users. Suggestion for improving subscribed dashboards: Include the date/time of the last cube build in subscribed dashboard emails.  Currently, we see the date/time per the settings configured in the subscription. We'd like to also see the date/time that shows when the data was pulled, or the "as-of". If there is a discrepancy in data, or if/when we need to trace back and review platform data changes, or if changes are made after the subscribed reports that may be important to call out to shared dashboard subscription recipients.  Thank you! ... Currently, when we select the option to highlight in a widget data is, nevertheless, usually sliced in other widgets using different categories. Imagine we have three bar charts and a table, all of which are marked as HIGHLIGHT. Each widget and table contains a different category, this is the relevant part. I would like to be able to select a category in one of the widgets and be able to see all elements in the other widgets, but just highlighted. Currently, since these are different categories than the one selected, they are sliced. It would be great if Sisense would allow to sort a table/pivot by multiple values, combining ASC and/or DESC and indicating the sequence for sorting, e.g. by Field 1 ASC, then Field 2 DESC, etc. For instance, I am attaching an example with two values, so that I could sort based on % Compliance first and then by # Assignments, both in descending order. While using the calendar date range in a filter, you should be able to type in the to and from date.  The old style filters allowed that option.  We recently switched to the "new" style (I say "new" because they are only new to us ... We create filters on certain records that have long names, sometimes with similar names.  The current width of the filter panel cuts off these record names and makes it difficult to find the correct record(s) to select. In report manager, when trying to add recipients for email, we receive sisense user email id suggestions based on keyword entered. This can be confusing to users, as our end users send emails to external recipients(non sisense) and that email id suggestion is sisense internal user email. In dashboard filters we currently cannot add custom tool tip to filters. While using the dashboard, it will be helpful to add some tool tip description to the filter which may pop up by hovering around it or through some information icon. When we are building pivot tables, sometimes there is a need to sort things by the columns. If I want to show a pivot table with a Team Lead as the rows, Total Spend and Total Volume as the values, and Weeks as the the columns, I have no way to sort this to show the date in descending order and keep the table structure the way I want to see it. When using dependent filters and selecting new filter values this automatically resets all filter values already chosen.  Whilst this is desirable from a security perspective, not all models have security applied.  The proposition here is to have a toggle or similar that the designer/owner of the dashboard can use to turn this behavior on/off.  Thus the reset reasoning behind this can be maintained if required for that model or use case and the behavior can be turned off if non resetting is optimal for the use case needed. ... NOTE: This is based on a post I made in the "Help & How To" forum. It was recommended to me to make a post here, in the Product Feedback forum, about it. There should be a way for Sisense to display the currently-selected filter values directly on the dashboard. I know that users can see this by expanding the right-hand sidebar to see the Dashboard Filters, and it's also a display option when you export to PDF. However, these aren't always obvious or available to the intended audience for the dashboard. For example, if I have a dashboard that's setup with a dashboard-level filter for "Work Group", it would be nice if I could display - directly on the dashboard itself - what work group is currently being filtered down to. Also, some of the values can be unclear, especially for date filters that use colloquial language such as "This Year" or "Last Quarter". There should be some way of displaying the exact date ranges that are being filtered for. For example, if today is November 13th 2024, then the "Last Quarter" filter value would mean dates from July 1st 2024 through September 30th 2024. But after the new year, if I were to check the dashboard again on January 6th 2025, then the date range would instead be from October 1st 2024 through December 31st 2024. Currently, in both cases, it'll just still how as "Last Quarter" and it's up to the user to figure out what that means (which can be difficult if they're looking at a static printout from some unknown time in the past). Other time periods can also be ambiguous or prone to misunderstanding. For instance, it's common to see people assume "Last Week" means a rolling time period covering the last 7 days, rather than the prior calendar week. Or assuming "Last 2 months" means the same as "this and last month", rather than the prior two calendar months not including the current month.  ... View more
