Our users often unnecessarily/mistakenly create filters at the Widget level when, really, it may make better sense for that filter to be applied at the Dashboard level. I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. It would be great to have settings that allow adjusting the limit of values in a Pivot Table, similar to the existing option for changing the maximum number of columns displayed. Currently, we can only adjust the maximum number of columns displayed in the Pivot Table configuration. This can be done via the Admin tab by navigating to Server & Hardware > System Management > Configuration. After using the following property in customize JTD widget script for Pivot widget, JTD is enabled for all rows.  drillToDashboardNavigateTypePivot: 1 It would be great if we have an option of enabling JTD for specific rows.  For example, we are having 4 rows and 2 value columns in the pivot but want to have JTD linked to only "row2" and have that "row2" data passing to JTD as filter (as shown in the picture). Create a pivot widget of RSUM( [Total Quantity] ) over time (rows) and break by (columns) age range. Scanning down each column, over rows, the numbers only increase. Now change it to a line widget. The break by defaults from an RSUM within columns in the pivot to an RSUM within rows in the line chart. This is the same as not having an RSUM and doing a stacked area. Our clients expect the line chart the results from changing the pivot to a line chart, to reflect the same output as the source pivot. As it stands now, they are surprised to see negative curvature in their RSUM, think something is broken, and open a support ticket. The default behavior should be to render Break by Columns instead of Rows. As an aside, I'm having trouble coming up with, and would be interested in hearing, use cases for charts with break by set to rows.  ... View more

The content/formatting/text contained in the various Sisense-generated/automated emails is currently static. I went through a long dialog with support and determined that  it's not customizable by customers. I would like it if we could modify these emails, and I'd especially like to have access to dynamic variables that we can insert in the email body (or subject). Hello, I would like to suggest adding custom number of characters for the search bar on left panel when search is performed. For example, search will start after typing 3 letters. "Analyse SQL" helped me understand some widget measure formulas and filters. I wanted to then experiment with it in Sisense's "SQL Runner", but that didn't work: the query is too large, and it uses strange names for tables and columns (aFactXwAaSaleXwAaorders for the table Fact_Sale_orders, and aCountryCode for the CountryCode column). It'd be helpful if you modified SQL Runner and/or Analyse SQL so that I can paste results, edit, and run them. The purpose to help me investigate questions such as "How does this filter affect my measure?" or "What does my colleague's horribly convoluted measure formula mean, why is it wrong, and how might I fix it?" or "Is my widget doing unexpected joins?". Hello, It would be good to be able to export data to Excel from the Dashboard menu. Currently, one dashboard containing 3 widget requires to go to each widget and export to Excel, resulting in 3 diffrente Excel spreadsheets. Users are requesting to be able to export every widget data into one single Excel file / each data widget in one seperated tab. The only way non-Owners of Dashboards become aware of a Dashboard being republished is if (a) they happen to notice changes in the Dashboard design since the last time they viewed the Dashboard, or (b) if the Dashboard Owner (outside of Sisense) proactively notifies Viewers that they have republished the Dashboard. I would like to see a feature where there is a visual indicator to non-Owners that informs them that "This Dashboard has been republished by the Owner since the last time you viewed the Dashboard." An Even Better If would be to allow the Owner to add notes when they republish, and these notes could be visible to non-Owners the next time they open the Dashboard. ... View more

The behaviour of the From/To date component appears to be causing a lot of confusion new users - we have had multiple reports mis-selecting dates and/or thinking this is a problem with Sisense.   The problem appears to stem from the way the focus is automatically shifted to speed up input of the 'To' date. This is not expected by new users and causes confusion. When a date is selected in the 'From' box... If no date set in the 'To' box, move focus to 'To' box and allow the user to immediately select the 'To' Date If date already set in 'To' box, do nothing. So, the first time you set the date range the first click sets the 'From' date, and you can immediately set a 'To' date with a second click. This is handy, but at the same time confusing if you don't realise what it's doing, and in practice is causing complaints. ... View more

Currently, the aggregation function depends on the type of the dimension : - Text or date => Distinct count - Numeric => Sum In our use case, this default assignation is not always accurate as it is sometime required to use Distinct Count with numeric fields. It would be good to hauve the default aggregation function to be choosed by the cube designer, when developping the metadata layer (ElastiCube or Live cube). This way, the dashboard designer will be proposed the accurate function without need to change it. This is particlary interesting with a users population that don't have analytics background and for which choosing the correct agregation function is not obvious. Thank you ... View more

Currently the Usage cube has a dimUsers table that has User Name but it is the email address.  It can be tough to know just from an email address, who the person is.  It would be nice to have the First name and Last name of the user available.  Certainly I could try to make a connector into the mongoDB and lookup the First/Last based on the user id.  But a) I don't want to modify the out of the box usage cube and b) that seems like a lot of work for something that could be added as part of the out of the box usage cube. The v1 Excel exporter included functionality that would export Pivot Table widgets to an XLSX file that was aggregated just like what users see inside of Sisense in their browser. We are now using the v2 Excel exporter and it no longer has this functionality, apparently by design. I think the v2 Excel exporter should also have aggregation functionality so that the XLSX export for Pivot Tables is just like what users were seeing with the v1 exporter. Their users sometimes click the button in search of information even when the designers haven't added any text to the widget information button.
