Introduction
The following forum post explains how to control Grand totals and Subtotals in the pivot widget.
Purpose
When we want to display Grand/Subtotal it's not always relevant for ALL values/columns, but only to some. We'd like to control which values/columns will show Grand/Subtotal.
The plugin supports pivots only and enables show/hide specific values from Grand/Subtotal, only for rows (and not columns).
Example
Before:
Pivot shows data without any sub/grand totals.
After:
Pivot shows Subtotal only for 'Total Cost' value.
Steps
Step 1 - Download and extract the enclosed zip file into the plugins folder:
C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\plugins\ControlSubGrandTotalFromMenu,  if the "plugins" folder is not there, please create it. If you are using version 7.2 and higher unzip the contents into your C:\Program Files\Sisense\app\plugins\ folder.
Step 2 - Create a pivot table widget
Create your desired pivot table, add rows, values and columns as needed. Choose 'Apply'.
 Step 3 – Script Options
Edit the widget, and edit the widget script.
  1. Add the following code:
prism.registerControlSubGrandTotal(widget);
  1. Refresh (F5).
  2. Choose 'Apply'.
Step 4 – Access the Subtotals / Grand totals from Row's option menu
