stacked column chart- show top N values, group others in "Other"

same question as here - just reupping in case someone new can have a look. I have something like 80 values I would like to put in a stacked column but only the top 5-10 are significant at any given time - is there a way to programmatically group the rest into "Other" like Sisense does automatically in a pie chart?

Note that the top 5-10 values may change over time, otherwise charting a custom column would work.

... actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I can probably put in a dynamic custom column based on percentage of the total for each column, but that is very ugly.

thank you!

Hi @GSSC & @jandrews ,

If you're okay without the "group the rest as other" part then it can be done by using a widget filter (rank top 5 on whatever Value you're applying the break-by on), but otherwise it will require either pre-aggregation at the data model level (We can connect you to a resource to consult on how this can be done) or a custom plugin (which would have to go to a Partner for a paid engagement).
Either way, I think this would be a great feature request. Can you post this in the Product Feedback Forum?

Can you let me know if you want me to get the ball rolling on connecting you with a technical resource?

Thank you.
