As you may have noticed, Sisense changed the way filters look and feel. Starting with version L2025.2, the new filter interface is now the default, aiming to provide a more modern, flexible, and consistent filtering experience. Over time, this new filter editor will fully replace the legacy filters UI — but we’re not rushing the transition just yet.

🧠 Why the change?

The new filters are built on a modern tech stack — one that’s far easier to improve and evolve. That means:

  • Faster delivery of new filtering capabilities
  • Fewer technical limitations
  • A more reliable, unified experience across dashboards

In contrast, the legacy filters rely on outdated technology. They’re difficult to maintain and enhance, which limits how far we can go in meeting your needs.

🤝 Let’s Get This Right Together

We know the new filters don’t yet meet 100% of your needs. And that’s exactly why we’re not sunsetting the legacy filters immediately.

Before we fully transition, we want to make sure:

  • Your current pain points are heard
  • Critical use cases are addressed
  • The new experience supports your workflow just as well — and better

📣 Share Your Feedback on the New Filter Editor

There’s a dedicated thread open now to collect your input on the new filter interface.

We’d love to hear:

  • What’s working well?
  • What’s a blocker?
  • What would help you transition more easily?

🧭 Help Shape the Future of Filtering in Sisense

Beyond the filter editor, we’re also looking at the broader filtering experience. If you have feedback on how filters interact with widgets, dashboards, or each other, this is your chance to weigh in.

Your feedback here helps us identify gaps and shape future improvements across the product.

🔼 Top Requests from Other Users

Here are a few top ideas that have already been raised. If any resonate with you, give them a vote and add context — it helps us prioritize what matters most:

Date Time Filter Combining Days and Times

Hours-Level Filtering for Datetime Columns

Ability to hide a filter criteria from Viewers

dashboard filter using formulas

Enhancing dependent filtering functionality to allow for a subset-filtering

Sort the values in filters

Thanks for helping us make Sisense filtering better for everyone. We’re looking forward to your feedback!
