Introduction
In this post we will present how to embed any website as a widget within a dashboard
Business Case
This plugin enables the user to embed web content (such as documents, data, websites, images, audio and video files) in the dashboard itself

Steps

STEP 1 - DOWNLOAD AND EXTRACT THE ENCLOSED FOLDER IN THE PLUGINS FOLDER:

C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\plugins\iFrameWidget,  if the "plugins" folder is not there, please create it. If you are using version 7.2 and higher unzip the contents into your C:\Program Files\Sisense\app\plugins\ folder.

STEP 2 - RESTART THE IIS

  • IIS express: restart the service PrismWebExpress
  • IIS: Open Command prompt, type in “iisreset” and click “Enter”

STEP 3 - CREATE A NEW WIDGET, CHOOSE “ADVANCE CONFIGURATION” AND SELECT THE IFRAME WIDGET

STEP 4 - DEFINE THE URL

Set the URL in the Design panel or by selecting a field from the Elasticube. Please note that if there are multiple rows returned from the query, this plugin will pick the first result. This is best used with a dashboard filter, so that the user can pick which URL to view. Once you have selected a URL to use, click "apply" (make sure the URL contains “HTTP://”)
