Intro

One may want to delete the connection credentials entered in ElastiCube Manager.
This to prevent other users who have access to the server, being able to connect to the data source on their own - and getting access to sensitive data.

steps:

  1. Close the ElastiCube Manager
  2. Go to C:\Users\<currentUser>\AppData\Roaming\SiSense\Prism\LocalRepository2.0\Resources
    (you can type also %appdata%)
  3. Delete / rename / hide elsewhere the file: ProviderHistoryKey.res
When the ElastiCube Manager will be relaunched again, the 'Add data' will not show any previous connections of any of the providers.
Please note that existing ElastiCubes will still show the connection string within "Change connectivity settings" but the password (*****) cannot be copied.
Also, one can only replace a table with another which has the exact structure.
