Enabling Access to Remote R Server from Sisense

By default Rserve accepts no remote connections if no config file is supplied. 

By running the following R script from the R console on the Remote R Server you can enable remote connections:

library(Rserve);

Rserve(args = "–vanilla --RS-enable-remote", port=XXXX);

The default Rserve port is 6311, make sure it is accessible.

You can test whether Rserve responds by typing:

telnet localhost 6311

If Rserve works, you should get:

Trying 127.0.0.1...

Connected to localhost.

Escape character is '^]'.
