Displaying Opening Balance for Date Range in Pivot Table

Hey everyone,
I’ve got a table with an opening balance that shows the date and total quantity on that date. There’s another table I’m working with that has transaction details and their values (transaction date and quantity).
What I want to do is display the opening balance alongside the sum of the transactions for a user-selected date range. I’ve managed to calculate the sum of the transactions, but I’m trying to figure out how to get the opening balance for the earliest date in the range.
Any ideas on how to achieve this? Thanks in advance!
