Allow viewers to create filters

Viewers cannot add filters to a dashboard and cannot get the "use" permission on a dashboard. I want to allow them to do so.

Also, on the Community website, the "Support"/chat/ai button covers the Publish button, so it's hard to post (I had to go to browser dev tools and delete element).

Also, on the community website, if I don't select a tag before clicking publish, it does a quiet fail: there's an error message hidden at the bottom of the page, but I don't see it, so I don't realise why the publish failed. It should either show an error at the top of the page, or a popup, or allow me to post without tags.

Hey Tim Are you asking for Viewers to have the ability to add filters that don't currently exist on the dashboard at all?

As a Designer, you can define dashboard filters that can then be made available for Viewers to use. Filters can only be added on dimensions that have already been added to the data panel (in edit mode). And because Viewers don't have that ability, they won't be able to add a filter that doesn't exist.

And you also mentioned that you can't get the Use permission on a dashboard. The Can Use permission is only available when sharing Data Models with users or groups, but not Dashboards.
