Migrate from CDT to Fusion

Has anyone migrated from CDT to Fusion? What was the experience like? Any tips/tricks/advice?

  • Hi friend! I have started some outreach to help give you some replies! In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or DRay (we are the community managers) for any further help!

  • After discussing with teammates here at Sisense, I recommend engaging with a Sisense partner as early as possible in your planning. A qualified partner can help you navigate the process, avoid common pitfalls, and ensure a smooth and successful transition to Fusion.

Depending on your utilization of CDT, it will be important to move any data modeling work into the CDT application so that it runs directly on your database. Complex queries or transformations currently performed with Python should instead be handled by your data engineering team using dbt, to avoid performance issues and high query costs.
If you'd like, we can help connect you with a Sisense partner who has experience with this type of upgrade.

Yes please, I would love to be connected with a Sisense partner who has this experience.

I was also hoping to be able to play around with fusion and the ai component. Do you have a playground where I can demo the semantic charts? It doesn't need to be my data.

  • Hi sisensemr,

We have reached out to your account team to help you with this. If you don't hear from them in the next few days please let us know and we will continue to chase them up.
