Select Latest date as filter automatically on refresh

I have a date column. I want the latest date to be automatically selected as a filter, also giving user the ability to select any date.

After the cube refreshes, if the latest date changes, the new date should be automatically selected, the previous date to be unselected. It should look and behave like a normal filter in which users can choose any date they want but it should also automatically give them the latest available date's data.

Please help.
