In browsers, usually links can be right-clicked. You get a menu including "Open in new tab" and "Copy link". Some Sisense links block this behaviour: e.g. the list of dashboards and jump-to-dashboard links. It'd be nice to get it back. To be clear: I do not want every link to open in a new tab. Using the jumpToDashboard plugin, there is a feature enabled with flag "hideSharedDashboardsForNonOwner" that allow the owner of a dashboard to hide dashboards even if shared with other users. The owner is the only one who can see it. The problem of this option is that, when a dashboard is configured to be hidden, the only way the owner has to know this setting is to open the dashboard menu and check the flag status. As a result, it could happen that the owner doesn't have a clear overview of which of his dashboards are visible and which one are hidden to other users. It could be useful to show somehow to the owner, in the tile and list view, if a dashboard is hidden. One simple option is to set a value of opacity for hidden dashboard like "0.65" to distinguish them easily. Attached my implementation of this feature. It's based on 1.3.1 version of jumpToDashboard and adds this feature; it also fixes some issue I found with proxy base url set on the system (win and linux). There is a know bug in this feature (already in the base plugin version); the viewer see the real count of dashboards but then see just the dashboard that are not hidden (e.g.: 5 dashboards counted, but 3 tiles displayed). It's not possible to create a dashboard filter using formulas. I could create a dashboard filter only with variables that are present in a data source. I am able to create a value in pivot table and then use it as widget filter, but it can't be done to other widgets that are not pivots. ... View more

I'd like to have the easy option of making a customized table or pivot table with any data types in my data model. Below is the ideal table I can easily achieve in Tableau and PowerBI today, with string and number data types. Sisense cannot achieve this without adding in bespoke BloX or code snippet. My data looks like the below: Trying to achieve my ideal result in Sisense pivot table looks like below, which is not a good look. Sisense cannot visualize the string data type in a pivot table or a table with numbers in the way I hoped for. Hello, I would like to suggest adding custom number of characters for the search bar on left panel when search is performed. For example, search will start after typing 3 letters. Hello, It would be good to be able to export data to Excel from the Dashboard menu. Currently, one dashboard containing 3 widget requires to go to each widget and export to Excel, resulting in 3 diffrente Excel spreadsheets. Users are requesting to be able to export every widget data into one single Excel file / each data widget in one seperated tab. The only way non-Owners of Dashboards become aware of a Dashboard being republished is if (a) they happen to notice changes in the Dashboard design since the last time they viewed the Dashboard, or (b) if the Dashboard Owner (outside of Sisense) proactively notifies Viewers that they have republished the Dashboard. I would like to see a feature where there is a visual indicator to non-Owners that informs them that "This Dashboard has been republished by the Owner since the last time you viewed the Dashboard." Currently, the aggregation function depends on the type of the dimension : - Text or date => Distinct count - Numeric => Sum In our use case, this default assignation is not always accurate as it is sometime required to use Distinct Count with numeric fields. It would be good to hauve the default aggregation function to be choosed by the cube designer, when developping the metadata layer (ElastiCube or Live cube). This way, the dashboard designer will be proposed the accurate function without need to change it. Currently the Usage cube has a dimUsers table that has User Name but it is the email address.  It can be tough to know just from an email address, who the person is.  It would be nice to have the First name and Last name of the user available.  Certainly I could try to make a connector into the mongoDB and lookup the First/Last based on the user id.  But a) I don't want to modify the out of the box usage cube and b) that seems like a lot of work for something that could be added as part of the out of the box usage cube. Their users sometimes click the button in search of information even when the designers haven't added any text to the widget information button. I want to also carry any Drill Into breadcrumbs. ---Example / use case--- I right-click on a FieldA row in my PivotTable and drill it down to FieldB. Then I click on a number to Jump To Dashboard. The destination filters for the FieldB row I clicked on, but it doesn't filter FieldA. That's fine when FieldB.value occurs only as a child of FieldA.value. But some of my FieldB items are repeated in several FieldA items. For example: Many cities have a "Main Street". I right-click and drill-down on New York's street names. Then I click on data for Main Street to jump. The destination dashboard will show data for every Main Street in every city, instead of just New York's. --- Can you make JTD respect such a drill-down? --- PS: I also made a request about making Drill create dashboard filters. Make it an optional, per-widget setting. ---Details:--- Sometimes I build a dashboard with a "main" widget for the user to explore, plus a few indicator widgets above it. It'd be nice if, when the user drills on the main widget, their choices were applied to the dashboard filters. That way, my indicators would reflect what they've drilled into. But that should be an option in the widget settings; other times I have a dashboard with several major widgets and drilling into one should not filter the others. When the user un-drills (clicks the cross or a breadcrumb to return to the overview), that should automatically remove the associated dashboard filter. When replacing a server, or testing an upgrade, we often find our clients taking a backup of their Sisense database and restoring it to another server. After updating the server identity in the mongodb, it's pretty much ready to go. However, use dashboards all reference the old server and have to be updated. This is a manual process that the users themselves one dashboard and data source at time. An administrator cannot easily do that work on their behalf. Acknowledging that there is a replace_datasource API call that allows you to apply a new server and data source to a single dashboard, I would love an easier a way to update just the server across all dashboards. ... Opening a dashboard which leads to a temporary error will redirect the user away from the dashboard URL to a 'dedicated' error page, e.g. 'https://xxxxxxx.sisense.com/app/main/error?status=404'. If this is a temporary error and the user refreshes this page they will never return to their intended destination - they are stuck on the error page forever. This causes confusion for our clients. Is there a way to change the way errors work so that I'm not redirected to a 'dedicated' error page and instead I can refresh the page and see my intended dashboard once the error is resolved? ... It would be really useful to have a hierarchy filter displaying parent-child relationship. Currently when we create a filter, it just displays all the members in the entity.  If there is a relationship between the members its not possible to identify it directly in 1 filter, the only way around is create dependent filters. But that too would get tedious, as everytime we have go through multiple filters to see the members in each sub filter. Example: If there is a relationship as below: In this case, the table has the name and parent name as 2 separate columns. So the filter could display members as below in a tree format which can be collapsed or expanded, such that there is a check box next to the member and user can select the individual members, or a group of members.
