Enable Global Date Format Preferences in the UI

Allow users to customize and set their preferred date format across the entire application interface. This feature would enable the seamless adjustment of date displays to match regional or personal preferences (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, YYYY/MM/DD), ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience. Admin will have the ability to select their desired format once, and the change will be reflected globally across dashboards, tables, and all date-related elements of the UI.

It looks like the sorting on compose SDK charts is very limited. You cannot pass a predicate (callback function) to define your own sorting, you can only specify ascending or descending. So, if that's the case, anytime we need to be able to sort a column by another column, we'll have to use the queryService and sort it ourselves.

Our users often ask about concatenating strings contained in two separate columns as a calculated column in pivot tables. Although this is possible at the data model layer, it is not possible at the dashboard layer. We do not expose data model design and administration to our end users. Would be very helpful for Sisense to introduce this functionality.

There isn't an option to download all users information from the Admin-Users Only to 'download csv' via Usage analytics - Users dashboard but this doesn't show all users created - just the ones being used.

We would love the option to limit User Creation by Admins to only specific @mycompany.com This would improve security without SSO login - as SSO doesn't fit to our workflow.

Suggestion for improving subscribed dashboards: Include the date/time of the last cube build in subscribed dashboard emails. Currently, we see the date/time per the settings configured in the subscription. We'd like to also see the date/time that shows when the data was pulled, or the "as-of". If there is a discrepancy in data, or if/when we need to trace back and review platform data changes, or if changes are made after the subscribed reports that may be important to call out to shared dashboard subscription recipients. Thank you!

In Sisense, under the Data tab, there’s a queries tool that displays information such as a cube’s title, size, and status. However, creating a query does not update the page URL, so you cannot use your browser’s back and forward buttons to navigate to it. Omer London BigPanda

We'd like to be able to annotate our bld pods using the helm provisioner. Annotation we're wanting to apply: karpenter.sh/do-not-disrupt: "true" Per Sisense support: "If we are discussing the -bld- pods, it’s important to note that their configuration cannot be overridden manually. These pods are dynamically generated by the Management service, and the logic for their creation and configuration is embedded within the Management service code. As such, direct modifications to their configuration are not supported."

Currently, when we select the option to highlight in a widget data is, nevertheless, usually sliced in other widgets using different categories. Imagine we have three bar charts and a table, all of which are marked as HIGHLIGHT. Each widget and table contains a different category, this is the relevant part. I would like to be able to select a category in one of the widgets and be able to see all elements in the other widgets, but just highlighted. Currently, since these are different categories than the one selected, they are sliced. In attached image, I am selecting a category in the second widget but all the other widgets display sliced data, despite having selected highlight.

Allow disable user accounts in Sisense, but we can only currently able delete users. Our use case involves keeping users in the system without utilizing a license.

We create filters on certain records that have long names, sometimes with similar names. The current width of the filter panel cuts off these record names and makes it difficult to find the correct record(s) to select. We suggest either making the filter panel size-able, or possibly at least wrapping the name.

In report manager, when trying to add recipients for email, we receive sisense user email id suggestions based on keyword entered. This can be confusing to users, as our end users send emails to external recipients(non sisense) and that email id suggestion is sisense internal user email. It will be really helpful if we can have a functionality to disable these email id suggestions from popping up in report manager, and avoid confusion to users.

In dashboard filters we currently cannot add custom tool tip to filters. While using the dashboard, it will be helpful to add some tool tip description to the filter which may pop up by hovering around it or through some information icon. For example, if a user needs to use a custom filter, the JAQL syntax may not be intuitive. Using some tool tip, will help a user understand how to use the filter in a JAQL format.

Today, we can use plugins, dashboard and widget scripts to customize dashboard and widgets for scheduled emails as well as desktop. Same should be available for Pulse scripts which allow to modification of alert JAQL on the desktop, but the same script is not executed when sending alerts/notifications. This causes discrepancy between what the user sees on the desktop and what they receive in email.

Currently, any report having a table widget is missing IDs in<td> and <tr> elements of the <table>. We are writing automation testing scripts for which we need to have unique ids for each cell. This is seen in Campaign tables but not for Reports 2.0 dashboards. Cell id, where each cell would have some unique identifier for entire table.

We want to be able to disable jump to dashboard for certain rows in a pivot table and bars/pie-slices in various charts. Currently we are only able to disable it completely. We would like to be able to be more specific on the disabling and only remove the jump to dashboard capabilities on the specific rows or bars.

When the sisense user is deleted the email of this user is still in the recipients list for a report in the Report Manager. If the report Manager is configured to send the reports to external customers, the user who is no longer with the company will be receiving the reports with dashboard data as the reports for the external users are generated using the owner or an additional user. Thanks.

When we are building pivot tables, sometimes there is a need to sort things by the columns. If I want to show a pivot table with a Team Lead as the rows, Total Spend and Total Volume as the values, and Weeks as the the columns, I have no way to sort this to show the date in descending order and keep the table structure the way I want to see it. I think it would be helpful to have this option.

When using dependent filters and selecting new filter values this automatically resets all filter values already chosen. Whilst this is desirable from a security perspective, not all models have security applied. The proposition here is to have a toggle or similar that the designer/owner of the dashboard can use to turn this behavior on/off. Thus the reset reasoning behind this can be maintained if required for that model or use case and the behavior can be turned off if non resetting is optimal for the use case needed.

NOTE: This is based on a post I made in the "Help & How To" forum. It was recommended to me to make a post here, in the Product Feedback forum, about it. There should be a way for Sisense to display the currently-selected filter values directly on the dashboard. I know that users can see this by expanding the right-hand sidebar to see the Dashboard Filters, and it's also a display option when you export to PDF. However, these aren't always obvious or available to the intended audience for the dashboard. For example, if I have a dashboard that's setup with a dashboard-level filter for "Work Group", it would be nice if I could display - directly on the dashboard itself - what work group is currently being filtered down to. Also, some of the values can be unclear, especially for date filters that use colloquial language such as "This Year" or "Last Quarter". There should be some way of displaying the exact date ranges that are being filtered for. For example, if today is November 13th 2024, then the "Last Quarter" filter value would mean dates from July 1st 2024 through September 30th 2024. But after the new year, if I were to check the dashboard again on January 6th 2025, then the date range would instead be from October 1st 2024 through December 31st 2024. Currently, in both cases, it'll just still how as "Last Quarter" and it's up to the user to figure out what that means (which can be difficult if they're looking at a static printout from some unknown time in the past). Other time periods can also be ambiguous or prone to misunderstanding. For instance, it's common to see people assume "Last Week" means a rolling time period covering the last 7 days, rather than the prior calendar week. Or assuming "Last 2 months" means the same as "this and last month", rather than the prior two calendar months not including the current month.
