Allow updating filters in Edit Chart page

When I'm editing or creating a new chart in SQL (chart being part of a bigger dashboard), I often find myself having to go in and out to change filters, or to just hardcoding values than later I have to change because inside the Edit Charts page I have no option of updating the filters. It would be great if there was a way of updating them inside that page. For example, imagine I'm creating a new chart page that requires a long query. I want to set it up so that it accepts certain filters. Good so far. Now imagine on the general dashboard the filter has "All dates" selected (just as an example). Then my query will take forever to run, and maybe, since I'm developing the query it would be nice for me to just select a smaller date range. There are more complex examples where the need of this becomes more clear. Imagine my query has multiple with clauses and/or joins with extra filters, etc... and I want everything to stay consistent. Then, if I have to go out and edit the filter, it might take a while for the dashboard to get all the data. For me, the ideal scenario would be to have a filter (e.g same as the dashboard where a chart is embedded on, or just based on the [name=value] attributes in the query) that is displayed in the edit area itself, so that I can select my parameters easily without having to hardcode those values only to remember to re-enable them again later, and I don't have to go in and out the chart to change the filters either. This feature would save me a lot of time and annoyance. Let me know if you need more real-world examples. But I found myself annoyed by this more than once. I think you have a great product, but it can be even better.

Currently in version 0.9 /datasources/{title} is used for cancel all queries but also return a datasource. It is the only way to get a datasource by title. The other alternative is use the get datasources endpoint but the filtering does not work to filter by title. It would be really good to have an endpoint to get the datasource by title.

The Sunburst chart is a great way to view multilayered data and obtain high level values and percentages from the source. Surprisingly, this visualisation does not support Jump to Dashboard (JTD) functionality which I would like to request. The ability to drill into the data is vital and provides users with an understanding of what sits beneath the chart should they require the detail.

Hello, How about having a better control over queries parallelism ? My use case : Elasticubes using 2 connections : DB1 / DB2 Currently, the parameter BaseTableMaxThreads (sets to 2 for us) controls how many queries can run in parallel, whatever the connection. During build, we frequently see situations where we have 1 query on DB1 and another one on DB2. Reducing the level of parallelism was necessary to limit contention on one connection but it would be fine to have 2 queries on DB1 and 2 queries on DB2 at the same time. My proposal is the following : having a parameters to controls the level of parallelism per connection and not per build. Thank you.

Hi. It would be cool to have a possibility do use external RabbitMQ instead one provided with Sisense Provisioner and hosted in Kubernetes cluster as StatefulSet. We would like to use managed rabbit cluster from AWS. The same case could be for MongoDB with AWS Document DB.

Currently only user roles can be modified to disable PDF export, but cannot configure user to disable PDF export for specific user. We would like have this function the sooner the better. Thank you! David

When using Sisense as a Viewer, I would like my users to open a widget in Full Screen mode and interact with the Filters. At this moment, when opening in Full Screen, all Filters are locked, preventing the user from interacting with them.

Bar charts show the bars sorted in order by their label. Sometimes you want the bars to be in ascending/descending order by their sizes (i.e. the value being measured), so that the most significant items are on one side or the other. While we're at it, the option in the bar chart design to Limit the number of bars being shown to just the "Top X", would help where you have situations where again you want to focus on the most significant items (smallest or largest) without outliers throwing it off.

Being able to use only 1 field to aggregate on when breaking by a dimension is quite limiting when we are wanting to look at YoY trends on a stacked column chart. I am surprised this has not been brought up yet as one would think this is a fairly common analytical need. As a broad example, how would one look at YoY sales by day and stacked by product types?

With the Sisense Report Manager add-on, we need the ability for a Viewer to create AND modify a report schedule that has been shared with them. Example: Jack (Designer) shared a report with Jill (Viewer) to monitor the health of her building assets. Jill would like to get a snapshot of this report emailed to her every month; however, she must manually communicate with Jack for him to create this report schedule on her behalf. Jill would like to create the report schedule herself. Jack created the report schedule to be sent to Jill every month. After three months of this, Jill prefers the report schedule to be sent out on a weekly basis. She must manually communicate with Jack for him to modify this report schedule on her behalf. Jill would like to modify the report schedule herself. Now multiply Jill by thousands of customers for our specific business use case... This will quickly become unsustainable for us. Please prioritize these features for Report Manager as it is a premium Sisense add-on. We understand that today with the Sisense native scheduler, a Viewer would be able to modify their report schedule if the creator allows the Viewer to edit subscription settings. Why is this not a capability of the Sisense Report Manager, at the very least?

The Sys.Admin user, can open any dashboards from Analytics - All or added /adminAccess at the end of the URL. Please add the possibility to open any URL for admin user without adding /adminAccess at the end.

Add the name of the dashboard onwer in the email notification sent by Report Manager. Some users are receiving reports they don't expect from Report Manager . They don't know who has schedule d the report. They want this information so that they ask the owner to be removed from the distribution list.

Hi All, Does the funnel chart support enabling and disabling dynamic sizing (as per the funnel widget was supporting earlier) or is it possible to achieve it using jQuery, Also can the names be displayed inside the funnel chart - with any native option, or is it possible to achieve the same using jQuery, As it was displayed inside the funnel widget. When I select options for view on the Analytics tab e.g. 'Created By Me' view and then navigate away from the tab on return the view defaults back to 'Recent' - Would it be possible to remember my previous selection for view on the analytics tab and display using this view instead of defaulting back to a Recents view ? This would be helpful when working with a lot of different dashboards and navigating to / from this screen.

Under certain circumstances, when adding data elements to a widget, the item is added a "named" formula instead of inserting exactly the syntax of the data element and the corresponding function. Example, let's say I add an indicator, then through the Data Browser, I search for "order number", then I click on that data element, Sisense will automatically use the COUNT function on that column. In some cases, Sisense will simply add a "named" formula and in widget editor, I'll see [Count of Order Number]. I have no way of knowing with certainty which column and which function is being used unless I hover over that item and a pop up shows me the actual function and column*. Instead, I don't wnat the "named" formula showing up. If Sisense is going to insert a function for me, using the above example, Sisense should insert COUNT([order number]). This is obviously an intended feature/beahvior, but it should be controllable at the Admin level. *I've seen in some cases that the pop up still doesn't show the actual function and column name; that's a bug
