Report Manager – Add Per-Schedule Option to Skip Sending When There Is No Data
Report Manager does not currently have a setting at the individual schedule level to "skip sending a report when there is no data". So recipients receive blank reports on days with no data.
The closest control, "Allow Empty Excel Files," is a global/admin-level setting under Report Manager > Global Options, so it applies to all reports environment-wide rather than a single schedule. It also doesn't skip the send silently — when disabled, the report is treated as failed and an error is shown in the report status; when enabled, the empty file is sent regardless. We are requesting a per-schedule "don't send if there's no data" option that skips the send cleanly (logged as skipped, not failed) rather than relying on a global setting that only toggles between sending empty files or flagging them as failures.
Ask: Add a per-schedule option in Report Manager that allows a report send to be skipped (not sent, and not logged as a failure) when there is no data.
