New Features

Prism Data Sources

• Add/Edit Dimensions Create dimensions over new fields added in the source table, without having to recreate the Prism Data Source. Additional dimensional properties, such as the field each dimension points to, can also be changed. Access this feature by right clicking the Data Source drop-down list and choosing ‘Edit Metadata’.
• New Time Hierarchies ‘Week Number’ and ‘Hour in Day’ dimensions are now available for date/time fields.

Distribution

• Contact Management Manage your contacts (import from popular email providers also available). Access this feature in the main File menu by choosing ‘Manage Contacts’.
• Document Security Restrict your documents to a pre-defined list of Prism users. User-specific permissions are also available. Access this feature in the main File menu by choosing ‘Distribution Properties’.
• Repository Sharing Save your repository (filters/custom measures) inside your Prism document. Useful for sharing your filters and calculations with other authors, and repository backup. Access this feature in the main File menu by choosing ‘Distribution Properties’.
• Synchronize and Manage Data Source Content actions Use these actions to allow your Viewers to synchronize with data sources (Excel, CSV, Access, etc) so they always see the most up-to-date data. These actions are available in the Widgets tab under the Actions category.

Usability

• Font Size toolbar item now support all font sizes by typing any value.
• Widget Info Tooltip now shows the widget type and title.
• Select Entire Row/Column item is now available on the context menu of the Pivot Widget.

PDF Export

• Bug Fix: Poor quality of text when exporting textbox to PDF.
• Export to PDF was added to Prism Viewer.

Data Browser

• Add/Remove selected Member(s) to/from a group, from right-click context menu.
• Duplicate Filter/Custom Measure item available in right-click context menu.

Widget Data Layout Editor

• Union/Intersect/Exclude options added when a dimension/filter is dropped on a panel (rows, columns, background) that already contains this dimension.

• Create New/Edit Custom Measure directly from the Data Layout Editor.

• Apply Scope on a measure in the Data Layout Editor. This feature lets you calculate the values of a measure according to a scope. For example, Sales of product Sundays through Wednesdays.

• Resolved a crash when trying to ‘Copy Selected Text’ on drop-down when no data is attached.
• Resolved a crash when removing Slicer from Question was fixed.
• Resolved formatting issues when updating calculations on pivots.
• Resolved UI glitch when drawing merged cells in pivot.
• Resolved Quick Functions menu item not available in pivot, when working with OLAP data sources
• Resolved chart series colors not been kept when changing background selection.

Data/Queries

• Resolved query errors after long idle time or inconsistent network connection.
• Resolved query error when filter a numeric dimension with an Equals condition (Filter By Value).
• Resolved failure to create data source from MySQL table with ‘mediumtext’ fields.
• Resolved long refresh time when a dropdown list with dozens of members was connected to another widget as background.

Miscellaneous

• Resolved Poor quality of text when exporting a textbox to PDF.
