choosing (like in Excel) multiple columns in a filter - possible?

    hi

The MOST appealing attribute of working with Pivots in Excel as opposed to just working with filters is the ability to mark "v" near what you wish to see, and only in it. so for example, if i have 5 sales people and 5 products, i can choose to see just 3 products, of just 2 sales people

what Prism seems to force me to do is pre-define all my filters because choosing more than one "sales person" and one "product" (any data colomns) seems impossible - Ctrl + click doesnt work. when using "grouping" in the filter, again - i need to pre-define all my groups, where in Excel its so much simpler - can "slice" any column with any other/s very easily

am i missing something or are you guys?

    Hello Guy,

Assuming you have a pivot with sales people, products and sales, all you have to do is create two drop-down lists: one with sales people and one with products and connect them both to the pivot as background.  By right clicking each drop-down list and navigating to the Preferences menu, you can set this drop-down list to be a multi-selection drop-down that does exactly what you describe.

    Regards,
